Of all the methods of chemotherapy drug administration intravenous injection is most commonly used. It is the most efficient way to get the medication into the bloodstream.
The time it takes to get a dose of intravenous chemotherapy can range from a few minutes, to several hours, to several days.
You usually go into hospital for the treatment and go home when it's finished.
Oral chemotherapy is more convenient and can taken at home. It does not require any specialized equipment.
The drug(s) used in chemotherapy depends on the type of cancer and the duration of treatment may depend on factors such as stage of cancer, goals of treatment and the way your body responds.
They're many aspects to chemotherapy. What are some of the things you've heard or know about chemotherapy?
Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month is observed in March to highlight the importance of screening for colorectal cancer, as well as to promote healthy lifestyle habits that can lower a person’s risk of developing cancer of the colon, re**um, or a**s – the three distinct cancer types referred to collectively as colorectal cancer.
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer type worldwide; WHO noted that in 2020, almost 2 million cases were diagnosed. Colon cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death, leading to almost 1 million deaths per year.
This is despite the fact that effective screening techniques exist that could reduce the number of deaths from this disease.

We take the time to say thank you to everyone who plays a part in the pharmacy fraternity, and we hope that together we can continue to make strides and improve the profession.
Special thank you to those who took the time to send us a little video. We appreciate you!

Being at the CAP convention allowed us to network with other pharmacists. Mr. Dhanraj shared with us a little of his journey in pharmacy and some great advice. We endorse the fact that the Association needs to do more advocacy on behalf of the pharmacy profession. Pharmacists are not pill counters, we do so much more and are capable of doing incredible work and making significant contributions to healthcare.
