Management of the Adamantium Holdings Inc., Charity, Essequibo, are calling on the Chairperson of the Charity Urasara Neighbourhood Democratic Council (N.D.C.), and the Police attached to the Charity Police Station to address the prolonging problem of traffic congestion and blocking entrances of legitimate business places.
Management noted with much digust and disappointment that the recent upgraded street, leading from the Charity Marketing Centre to the Xenon Service Station in Charity, are over taken by Vendors and other sellers coming from the Essequibo Coast, vehicles are also parked on the middle of the newly upgraded road, especially on Mondays, and the relevant authority of the N.D.C., and the Police are doing nothing to address the ongoing problem. This is also seen as a fire hazard.
The congestion are also making it difficult for boat operator and passengers to access. There is no free access to get to the boat since the walkway is blocked by sellers.
Management noted also that they cannot get access to their business since the entrances are completely blocked by sellers and vehicles. It must be noted also that the vendors and sellers who occupy middle of the road, said they are paying the N.D.C., to sell there.
According to Management, it has been observed that only entrances of the Company business entities ( Gaulin Supermarket, Xenon Hotel, A & S General Store and the Xenon Service Station), are being blocked. Because of this illegal practice, sales have dropped tremendously.
Therefore, they are pleading with the Chairperson of the N.D.C., and the Police at
Charity, to be more proactive and do something to the ongoing problem.
Management said they tried to make contact with the Chairperson of the N.D.C., via Phone and in person but was proven futile.
They hope that the problem can be addressed sooner rather than later.
Management also took the opportunity to thank the Region Two Administration, the Charity N.D.C., and the Government for the newly upgrade roads in and around Charity.
