Cupping is performed by applying cups to selected skin points and creating a subatmospheric pressure.

Q: Are those bruises?
They are not bruises~ I would prefer calling them cupping marks or cupping kisses.💋 These cupping marks not only have a therapeutic effect but also act as indicators of our body conditions.

The coloring typically ranges from light red to darker purple. A darker coloring means that there is a higher level of ‘toxins’ and stagnation in the section of the body.😈 They normally can last for hours (light color) to a week(dark color).

There are different ways that cupping may be applied, including dry cupping/ wet cupping/ flash cupping/ moving cupping/ needle cupping. We apply different cupping types depending on patients’ presenting issues and underlying constitutional energy.

拔罐是什麼？有什麼用處？到底適不適合我？為什麼每個人的拔罐印顏色都會不同？不同顏色代表什麼？接下來就為大家揭秘拔罐的小秘密~

拔罐是以罐為工具，利用負壓的原理（加熱或抽氣）吸附于身體特定部位，讓皮膚淺表微血管充血及破裂，藉此促進身體修復該處的能力，以增加該處循環。中醫師會根據患者不同體質而採用不同的方法，大致分為留罐、刺絡拔罐、閃罐、走罐、針罐。由於每個人的體質不同，取罐後的反應也不同。不同的拔罐印可反映身體的不同狀態，亦可作為中醫師判斷病情的診斷線索。

淺紅色：局部氣血循環良好。常見於身體狀況良好者。
暗紅色/紫紅色：顏色越深，提示局部的氣血循環越差，氣滯或血瘀較甚。多見於痛症。
鮮紅色：提示身體局部熱象較甚，可分為實熱和虛熱。也提示局部可能有炎症反應。
灰白色：提示體質較虛弱或氣血不足。多見於老年人或病後體質虛弱者。
水泡：提示局部濕氣過重。

當然，這只是供參考，具體還是要參考其他四診才能做出更準確的判斷。大家快問問自己的家庭中醫師哪種拔罐方法適合自己吧~

It might seem weird because some of the questions may seem unrelated to your main concern. However, we see your body as a whole and your answers will give us clues🔎 on what’s going on with your body.

Oftentimes, these tolerably irritating things that you neglect to mention upfront will become the missing puzzle piece in our diagnostic process. Often these symptoms are like branches, and we are like detectives🕵 trying to dig for the root in order to design the most fruitful and enduring treatment plan for you as an individual~
