「媽媽」這個身份是24/7，永無休假，同時肩負上各種責任。不論是全職媽媽還是Working Mum，每日也要抽出一些時間獨處，讓自己有一個喘息的空間，享受一下，而我其中一個Me Time就是泵奶時的30分鐘🥰

As a second-time mommy, it’s hard to strike a balance in time spent with both children🤯

So I made a decision that even though I enjoyed the breastfeeding bond with my baby so much, I had to strike a balance between engaging with Keia & feeding Kara👩‍👧‍👧 Routinely, I express milk in the day so that I will have more time in my hands to play with my 2 girls, and breastfeed Kara only when Keia is asleep.

To introduce my best pumping partner with you, it comes with an amazing Natural Motion technology which imitate a unique wave-like tongue motion that occurs when baby is suckling. Keia is potty-trained at 25 months! And we managed to succeed in just 3 days! Super proud mama & papa milestone for us.

I’m now confident to let her wear underwear around the house even though we still put on diapers for her naps and overnight sleep.

To my surprise yesterday, during her 2 hour afternoon nap, her diapers stayed totally dry 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, but Mommy doesn’t want to risk any accidents.

We wanted to throw Keia Boo an early birthday party to have some normalcy in her life during these times where schools in HK have been closed for months, families practice , and Keia hardly goes out of the house.

We were so glad that we did it & our effort to create a beautiful Mickey & Minnie birthday party didn’t go to waste! Since the day before her party, when we were busy putting up all the decorations (trust me it ain’t easy with a toddler climbing all over you all the time), Keia got really excited. She was happily helping out by passing me the balloons to tie together for the balloon chain, squealing in glee when her birthday banner was hung up, and clapping her hands saying “birthday party!!!” All day long!

She got sooooooo excited till she couldn’t sleep well that night and woke up earlier than usual on the day of her party.

Though it was a small party celebrated with the Korean twins from her playgroups, it was enough to make her laugh and have tons of fun with them! Sharing her toys, showing them her room and simply enjoying their company. It really puts a smile to our faces seeing the kids have so much fun during these COVID-19 times as it’s so rare. (Trust me, she hasn’t had this much fun since we got back to HK after CNY and schools here closed indefinitely)

Keia really enjoyed her 年初一! It’s her first year visiting relatives & saying “新年快樂，恭喜發財，Happy New Year!” And meeting most of her relatives in Singapore.
Last year, she missed out on all the visiting as she contracted a viral fever in the early hours of 初一, vomiting with a high fever and was rushed to A&E 😢. Even as adults, we are still learning new things daily. So imagine, what it is like for Keia who is so new to this world?! I’m a firm believer of letting Keia explore her surroundings in her own terms, while I just watch over her to ensure she doesn’t severely hurt herself. This way, it makes learning for her fun and interesting with the confidence to discover this world on her own. At her age, she should be worry-free and having all the fun she can with sensory play, petting animals, climbing, tumbling and even getting a few bumps & bruises. It’s all part of growing up and learning isn’t it?

And she had a wildly good time!

🦋She got to pet some rabbits & lambs.

🦋 got surrounded by loads of pretty butterflies.

🦋 walked amongst some monkeys & flying foxes.

🦋 saw giant crocodiles, leopards, giraffes, lions & cheetahs

And went home happy but exhausted.

This is a as we were so busy with all of Keia’s make up classes since we got back to HK & I’ve finally downloaded the photos to my phone.
