【Teachers exchange】
Our school has always been committed to providing a variety of high-quality education services. 👍🏻 Starting from this school year, we have participated in the "C-for-Chinese@JC" project to train teachers 👩🏫 to create a culturally responsive education for kindergartens. The goal is to provide a pleasurable 😀 and meaningful learning environment 🏫 that improves the Chinese proficiency of non-Chinese speaking (NCS) 👧🏼👦🏽 ethnic minority (EM) students, as well as the social competence🤝 of Chinese students.
Earlier, the principal and teachers of our school attended the "Community of Practice Award Ceremony and Best Practices Sharing Seminar 2022-2023" as part of this project. Teachers shared their teaching materials, teaching aids design concepts, and experiences with the other participants. The teachers also communicated with participants from different schools, exchanging teaching experiences and cultural activities. 🤗 The goal is to take what we've learned and give back to our students and parents.

K2 children visited the Hong Kong Science Museum today to explore the world of light and shadow💛.

They wandered among various interesting mirrors, and also tried different experiments in the light and shadow room🔦.

The Salvation Army Rosita Yuen Kindergarten Parent-Child Library have officially opened! 🎊 The ceremony was officiated by Parent-Teacher Association members and the principal, making it a simple yet grand event. 🎉 Certificates were also presented for the "Story Character Role Play" activity🏅👏🏻
The Parent-Child Library 📚 provides various types of books for borrowing, allowing parents and children to engage in parent-child reading at home🏡 Parents can come to the Parent-Child Library with their children at designated times to borrow books. We hope that parents and children can experience the joy of reading and enjoy quality reading time together through this book borrowing activity👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

On this special day, we explore biblical stories about mothers and ancient Chinese allusions to appreciate the greatness of mothers. By interviewing their mothers 🎤 the children also gain a deeper understanding of their mother's preferences 😍 and fulfill the tasks🫡 of Mother's Day. On this significant day, children even use their little hands🤚 to make gifts🎁 and present carnations🌷 as expressions of their gratitude🫶 and love❤️

[Joyful fruit Month - Campus Fruit Party 🍎🍌🍊]
An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Not only apples🍎 are beneficial to our health, but all fruits are important for children's growth. To encourage children to eat more fruits, we participated in the "Fruit Diary Card Award Scheme" and organized a fruit party on campus. On that day, children brought their favorite fruits to share with their peers, introduced their love for fruits, and enjoyed these delicious fruits together🍉🍋🍑

【Joint School English Quiz Contest】

救世軍幼稚園一向重視英文課程，將英文融入於不同的學習活動中，讓幼兒在豐富及愉悅的英文環境下，自發地學習英文並享受英文的樂趣。救世軍11間幼稚園將於2024年5月11日（星期六）假培正小學舉行「 #聯校英文問答大比拼 」聯校大型活動，展現幼兒的學習能力，並透過 #外籍老師 主領的問答及互動遊戲，讓幼兒在「 #全英語環境下 」一邊玩一邊學習，培養幼兒對英文的興趣，提升自信心及運用英文的能力，大大提高學習成效！經過校内選拔，來自11所救世軍幼稚園的代表幼兒將在台上進行即時英文互動搶答，相信一定十分精彩刺激。

The Salvation Army Kindergarten has always attached great importance to the English curriculum and has integrated English into various learning activities. This approach allows children to learn English spontaneously and enjoy the fun of the language in a rich and pleasant English environment. The Salvation Army’s 11 kindergartens will be hosting a Joint School English Quiz Contest on May 11, 2024 (Saturday) at Pui Ching Primary School. The purpose of this contest is to showcase the children‘s learning abilities. Through quiz games conducted by net teachers, children will have the opportunity to learn while playing, fostering their interest in English, enhancing their self-confidence, and improving their English proficiency. Following a selection process within the schools, representative children from the 11 Salvation Army kindergartens will participate in a real-time English interactive session on the stage. This contest is expected to greatly enhance the effectiveness of their learning experience.

The Class Observation Activities for K1 and K2 parents have been successfully concluded. 我們以幼兒感興趣的生活事物與經驗作主題，奉行生活學習。上一次幼兒走出校園，到訪了O.PARK1，及後幼兒對環保回收，廚餘等問題非常關注💬。 延伸了學習興趣，我們因應幼兒的好奇心和求知慾，遂邀請了「大嘥鬼」到學校進行活動😍。以故事📖遊戲等的互動形式，學習保護地球的方法。幼兒從中學習到廚餘的種類-可回收及不可回收的廚餘垃圾，日常生活中保護環境及珍惜食物方法，適逢幼稚園坐落的屋苑增設了「智能廚餘回收箱」，幼兒又能與社區環境進一步結連學習👍🏻最後還有特備節目，與幼兒喜愛的大嘥鬼一同合照呢📸期望幼兒從小培育珍惜地球資源及愛護大自然萬物的態度🪴🌿🌸💚

[K3 Project Approach - Environmental Protection]🌎♻️
We adopt “Project Approach”, which focuses on things and experience in life that interest students, and follows the vision of living and learning. Last time we "going out of kindergarten and into residential community-O.PARK1" After visited, children are highly interested in environmental recycling, food waste, and other related issues💬. In order to complete their learning, we have invited the "Big Waster" to the school to conduct activities and teach children how to protect the Earth😍through stories📖and interactive games. Children learned about different types of food waste - recyclable and non-recyclable food waste - and how to protect the environment and value food in their daily lives. The housing estate where the kindergarten is located has installed a "Smart Food Waste Recycling Bins‘’. Children can further connect their learning with the community environment 👍. Lastly, there was a special program where they could take photos with their favorite "Big Waster"📸It is our hope that by building children's knowledge and understanding, we can nurture their attitude of cherishing the Earth's resources and caring for all things in nature from an early age🪴🌿🌸💚

交通工具有很多種類，幼兒經常接觸的大多是日常運輸之用。配合幼兒班專題研習「交通」的主題，讓他們認識不同類別的交通工具及功能，今天邀請了救護員到學校進行活動。以講座、遊戲、試穿救護員衣服⛑️及參觀真實救護車，幼兒從中可以學習到救護車的種類、如何呼叫救護車、適當善用🚑救護車資源、認識救護車上🚨的設備及救護用品等，透過觀察、探索、親身接觸的過程中建構幼兒知識，技能，態度和價值觀。

【K1 Project Approach- Transportation】
There are many types of transportation, and most of the ones that young children often come into contact with are used for daily transportation. In order to complete the K1 class Project Approach on "Transportation" and help them understand different types of transportation and their functions, ambulance crews were invited to the school today to conduct activities. Through talk, games, trying on ambulance uniforms⛑️, and visiting a real ambulance, children learnt about different types of ambulances, how to call for an ambulance, make proper use of 🚑ambulance resources, and understand the equipment and first aid supplies in the ambulance🚨, among other things. To construct children’s knowledge, skills, attitudes and values through the process of observation, exploration and personal contact.

「保護環境，人人有責」我們的K3小朋友也立志做個環保小公民💪🏻是次的專題研習—「環保」🌎♻️小朋友一同前往大嶼山小蠔灣，參觀香港首個資源回收中心－O.Park1🤩導賞哥哥姐姐透過動畫和遊戲，讓小朋友認識到珍惜食物、減少垃圾和廚餘回收等環保知識♻️最後，小朋友不但有機會與大嘥鬼合照📷🥰還獲贈了紀念品「堆肥」🪴小朋友們決定善用這些紀念品，於學校小園圃及回家種植🌿藉着活動，希望小朋友學習及實踐出BRAVO中的珍貴元素💓

【K3 Project Approach- Environmental Protection】
‘Protecting the environment is a responsibility that everyone shares.’ The K3 children are determined to be environmentally-conscious citizens. This time, their special study topic was "Environmental Protection."🌍♻️
The children visited Siu Ho Wan on Lantau Island to tour Hong Kong's first resource recycling center, O.Park1.🤩 The center's staff used engaging methods like animations and games to teach the children about important environmental protection concepts, such as valuing food, reducing waste, and recycling food scraps.♻️
In addition to learning, the children had the opportunity to take photos with a big waster.📷🥰They also received a special "compost" souvenir,🪴 which they decided to plant in their school garden and at home.🌿
Through these activities, the children aimed to learn and practice the key elements of BRAVO - which represents a valuable element.💓

[復活節紀念會🐏]
「神愛世人，甚至將他的獨生子賜給他們，叫一切信他的，不致滅亡，反得永生。」🤲🏽(約翰福音3 章 16 節)
復活節是紀念耶穌基督在十字架上為世上的罪人被羅馬人處死，三日後死而復生。✝
我們希望藉着一連串的復活節活動🥚🐰🎉，讓小朋友明白復活節的由來及主耶穌捨己愛人的精神，藉此機會獻上「感恩」的心♥️當中活動包括金句分享小任務💌、設計獨一無二的復活蛋🎨、「五色福音魔術🪄」、「尋蛋遊戲🥚」等等。
另外，🙏🏽特別感謝本校校牧余基甸上尉及余李彩玲上尉到校與本校小朋友一同分享聖經故事及傳遞福音，小朋友們都很投入呢！💕

[Easter Party commemoration🐏]
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life."🤲🏽 (John 3:16)
Easter commemorates the death of Jesus Christ on the cross by the Romans for the sinners of the world and His resurrection from the dead three days later.✝️
We hope that through a series of Easter activities,🥚🐰🎉 children can understand the true meaning of Easter and the Lord Jesus' spirit of deny himself and love for others. We want them to take this opportunity to express a grateful heart.♥️ The activities include small tasks such as "Sharing bible speech💌", "Designing unique Easter eggs🎨", "Five Color Gospel Magic🪄," "Easter egg hunt🥚" etc.
Additionally, 🙏🏽we extend special thanks to Captain Gideon Yu & Alice Yu, the pastors of our school, for coming to share Bible stories and spread the gospel with the children. The children were highly engaged!💕

【Visit Activity： Hong Kong Flower Show 2024】
“Going out of kindergarten and into residential community for living and learning” Today,K2 children visited the Hong Kong Victoria Park to attend the 🌸Hong Kong Flower Show 2024🌸. The park was filled with colorful and creatively designed floral displays. 😍 The children purchased various types of potted plants and fresh flowers. The friendly shop owners shared some gardening tips with them too. Everyone benefited greatly from the experience. The event went smoothly, and the children had a great time, thanks for the assistance of the parent volunteers from K1 and K2. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Spring is here, and it's the perfect time to connect with nature alongside your friends and family.🍀🪵🌸☀️🐇🦢🐐🦚
We are grateful that🙏 our school's parent-child picnic was a resounding success🎉 last Friday. It was a rabbit from "Tolobunny"🐰The volunteer from “Tolobunny” shared us the story of abandoned rabbits and taught our children how to take care of them. The children understand that every little animal is precious! When we keep pets, we have to take care of them for their whole lives, and we should never abandon them. Through today's sharing, the children also learned about the elements "♥️Valuable♥️" of BRAVO!🥰

K3 students were invited to perform🥰 by the Lantau Island Civil Affairs Office on March 5th. On that day, the students showcased their passion and sense of rhythm🎶 using traditional Chinese drum instruments. Combined with flag dancing, the students demonstrated unique skills and coordination through precise rhythm and choreography, bringing visual👀 and auditory👂 enjoyment. The performance also helped foster a sense of unity and strengthened the team's cohesion. At the same time, the performance showcased the richness of Chinese culture and served as an expression of people's spirit of unity, cooperation, and perseverance💪.
