THE RAW CIRCUS

Our Story...

THE RAW CIRCUS was founded by Daniele and Jenny. They both moved to Hong Kong at the end of 2017 and realised that eating healthy and wholesome in this city is quite a challenge... Having lived in New York before, where organic and enzyme-rich food is omnipresent and not limited to boring salads and carrot sticks, they decided to start THE RAW CIRCUS to bring Raw & Vegan Gourmet Food to this Asian cosmopolitan city.

Where does our fascination with raw food come from? Well first of all, cooked food loses everything that’s good about food - enzymes you need to digest and all vitamins. Most food is overcooked, and especially processed food is basically dead... Raw food, on the other hand, is alive! You can feel the energy right away, and if you stick to a raw diet even for a week or two, you can feel stronger, more balanced and much less stressed. You’ll see your skin improve dramatically, all bodily functions are being recalibrated, you’ll sleep better and (quite frankly) you can just kick a** a lot better!

Secondly, back in 2000, Jenny’s mom got diagnosed with cancer. She was told that her mom has less than two years to live. But her mom is a fighter and instead of going the traditional route of chemo therapy, her mom decided to go Raw. Within no time, she was cancer-free. But the Raw Movement was relatively new, recipes very basic; she experimented a lot, so it wouldn’t feel like she was missing out on all the yummy stuff (including sweets!). Eighteen years later, she’s fit as ever and has been a big inspiration for THE RAW CIRCUS.

Daniele is Italian and a certified Raw Food Chef, while Jenny takes care of all branding and communication (and all the food tasting!). They met back in 2006 and have been working on different projects across different continents ever since. Oh, and back in the days, they used to throw legendary underground techno parties in New York, Paris, London, Rome, Ibiza, Miami, L.A., Lagos and even the Sinai Desert. So they know a thing or two about the Circus!
