Today, over 215 ARFOR and Fuerza Aérea Hondureña volunteers cleared trash and debris alongside highway CA-5, collectively gathering over 100 bags of garbage! 🚮
Soto Cano Air Base is home to Joint Task Force-Bravo and Honduran Air Force service members, and it is together that the facilities and environment are kept clean and serviceable.

All service members are invited to the first ever Better Opportunities for Single Service Members, B.O.S.S., community meeting to address services provided at Soto Cano Air Base.
This week, ARFOR recognized SSG Scott and Edgar Calix from 394th FH MEDLOG for their outstanding dedication to finding a solution for a long time issue MEDLOG had in their warehouse. Both received an ARFOR coin at Battalion formation for their efforts.
Also, SSG Redmon of the 1900th PM DET was promoted to SFC by Battalion CSM and recognized for his driven work ethic, upstanding leadership, and outstanding service to the U.S. Army.

Last week, SGT Garza and SPC Barnett from Joint Task Force-Bravo, Preventative Medicine Detachment, and members of the Honduran Ministry of Health, traveled to La Paz to conduct water sampling to measure the presence of chlorine and bacteria. Also, collections of mosquito larvae were taken to help protect and educate the community about dengue.

La semana pasada, SGT Garza y SPC Barnett del Grupo de Trabajo Conjunto-Bravo, Destacamento de Medicina Preventiva, y miembros del Ministerio de Salud de Honduras, viajaron a La Paz para realizar muestras de agua para medir la presencia de cloro y bacterias. Travel with our SOTO CANO Civil Affairs team over to Olancho, Honduras. Thanking the Municipality and Ministry of Education and the 115 Infantry Brigade for their partnership with JTF-Bravo. 600 desks were donated across 27 schools, Classrooms were built and walls maintained to provide extra protection if nature decides to strike to 4 different schools.

Viaja con nuestro equipo de Asuntos Civiles de SOTO CANO a Olancho, Honduras. Agradeciendo al Municipio y al Ministerio de Educación y a la 115 Brigada de Infantería por su asociación con JTF-Bravo. Se donaron 600 escritorios en 27 escuelas, se construyeron aulas y se mantuvieron muros para proporcionar protección adicional si la naturaleza decide atacar a 4 escuelas diferentes.
Engaging in Civil Affairs initiatives led our team on an enriching journey in Guatemala. Operating out of Puerto San Jose, we collaborated seamlessly with the Ministry of Health and the Municipality to organize a MEDCAP, providing medical assistance to 330 individuals. Through the efforts of JTF-Bravo and our ongoing partnership with Guatemala, we uphold the vision established by SouthCom.

Civil Affairs Team 305 (CAT) out of Panama conducts a key leader engagement with the Wounaan village elder in Rio Lara. The Panama Ministry of Education is building a school for the remote village and CAT 305 is helping track its progress and support requirements through assessments and civil engagements.

El Equipo de Asuntos Civiles 305 (CAT) de Panamá lleva a cabo un compromiso de líder clave con el anciano de la aldea de Wounaan en Río Lara. El Ministerio de Educación de Panamá está construyendo una escuela para la aldea remota y CAT 305 está ayudando a hacer un seguimiento de su progreso y requisitos de apoyo a través de evaluaciones y compromisos civiles.
Did you know….Military Working Dogs can fly too!
The vet team, MWDs, and Charlie Company worked on different types of hoist training to familiarize the working dogs and their handlers with flying so they are ready to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
In a single day… 170 cows and 25 mules/ horses were vaccinated by ARFOR’s vets, Preventative Medicine (PM) went and collected water samples from a local water tank to run tests, Civil Affairs closed on a school project so the children have a meeting place for their education.
En un solo día... 170 vacas y 25 mulas/caballos fueron vacunados por los veterinarios de ARFOR, Medicina Preventiva (PM) fue y recogió muestras de agua de un tanque de agua local para realizar pruebas, Asuntos Civiles cerraron un proyecto escolar para que los niños tengan un lugar de reunión para su educación.
