One more much-anticipated event is behind us! 🥳

Yesterday, our team attended the Span Cyber Security Arena conference. We joined to hear renowned Croatian and international experts talk about the role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity operations, best practices for maintaining a security posture before and after an attack, and many other key topics.

Events like these are essential, as cybersecurity is a cornerstone of trust and resilience in today’s digital world. Staying informed about emerging threats and solutions allows us to protect our systems, clients, and data in the face of evolving risks.

We are excited to share that our team attended the 2nd EFOS Business Forum: "Artificial Intelligence – A New Era of Business", hosted by the Ekonomski fakultet u Osijeku with support from the Croatian Employers`​ Association.

At the event, industry experts discussed AI's potential to enhance efficiency, foster innovation, and drive competitiveness while addressing the critical challenges in sustainable business solutions.

Particularly interesting and insightful was the introductory keynote "Quo Vadis AI (Domine)?" by AI applications and analytics expert Robert Kopal, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof., exploring AI's transformative impact on business processes and opportunities in the digital age.

Looking forward to the advancements this dialogue inspires!

During the weekend we attended CITCON Europe 2024 (Continuous Integration and Testing Conference), a continuous delivery conference that brings together people from every corner of the software development industry to discuss continuous delivery and the practices that go along with it.

Nothing like an open space format to keep us from the dreaded 'death by PowerPoint' 🤞 and foster engaging discussions on everything from code metrics to post-release monitoring. It was inspiring to collaborate with experts and enthusiasts from all corners of the industry.

We're thrilled about the valuable insights we've gained and can't wait to implement new cross-functional solutions and make software better! 🎉

Today, we recognize a key event in the history of real-life blockchain usage. On May 22, 2010, a man in Florida bought pizza with 10,000 bitcoin.

Laszlo Hanyecz paid for two Papa John’s pizzas, marking the first known bitcoin purchase. This day is now celebrated as "Bitcoin Pizza Day."

Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, mined the first Bitcoin block, the Genesis Block, on January 3, 2009. At that time, bitcoin had no real-world value.

Hanyecz changed that by offering 10k BTC for pizza. A British Bitcoin enthusiast accepted the deal, getting Hanyecz two pizzas worth $25 for 10,000 bitcoin, which were then worth around $41.

Hanyecz wrote on the Bitcoin Talk forum: "I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day. I like having left over pizza to nibble on later."

Since that first transaction, bitcoin's value has soared. Today, those 10,000 BTC are worth about $700 million. Hanyecz says he has no regrets and is proud to have played a part in Bitcoin’s history.
