Today when I found a patient in the car crying 😢 She had just moved from San Antonio and got lost on her way to Conviva Ayers she thanked me for helping her that she had prayed for someone to help her but she said “No one will help a 90 year old woman” and she said “and then here you come”. I didn’t know the lady but I could tell she was worn, tired and troubled so I just simply asked “Hi, do you need some help” and embarrassed she declined but as I gathered my things I knew she was in distress and insisted. You may be one person but to one person in that moment you may be the world 🌎

Holding space for others as they rebuild their life is a skill set we need to develop.
Bearing witness to pain is a gift we can give to one another.
