It's finally here....Baxter Village/Fort Mill Spring Festival & St. Patrick's Parade Today!
- Festival is 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the St. Patrick's Parade at 5 p.m.. More than 125 exhibitors, live entertainment, food/beverages, artisans, music, games, prizes and more! Plus, with 100+ units, the largest St. Patrick's Parade in the Charlotte region. It's all at Baxter Village - on Highway 160 at the intersection of I-77, Exit 85.

This FREE event will feature a live music (Gump Fiction), several food trucks, kids activities, and more.

Join the Town of Waxhaw for an Independence Day celebration. We are excited to continue to host community events, although modified due to COVID-19. This years’ celebration will be at the Waxhaw Community Corner.

A food truck rodeo will line up along Church and McDonald Streets for all to enjoy starting at noon. Gump Fiction (The Ultimate 90’s Experience) will play live music for those celebrating from 12 PM - 3 PM. There will be plenty of family fun activities which include: gravity jugglers, face painting and balloons. You can also check out all our Downtown businesses have to offer while there.

The Town has worked hard to make sure the events planned are safe, accessible, and cost-effective for Waxhaw residents and friends. Waxhaw chose to celebrate differently this year because this type of event is a bit easier to plan for and does not require the months of planning that the annual parade does. Historically, preparing for the 4th starts the winter prior. At the time, there was not clear enough indication that restrictions would be lifted for us to feel comfortable planning an event that attracts thousands to Waxhaw.

Town leaders will continue to take all COVID-19 guidance from North Carolina and will follow any requirements set, but now that most restrictions have been lifted, we anticipate all of our events from this Autumn forward to proceed as normal. We hope you’ll celebrate Independence Day and all other scheduled events with us this year!

*Please note: McDonald/Church will close Sunday, July 4th at 7 AM. Cones will designate WUMC parking, business parking and ADA parking.
