As a designer, I often hear this from my clients:
"My business needs a new logo."
My personal opinion is I think it's a common misconception, because a logo is not a brand and a brand is not a logo. A logo alone will not create the impactful brand you want. It needs to be more repetition of different elements to your branding to become recognizable and differentiate yourself from your competitors.
