Not all flowers are meant to be preserved, so we discussed which ones would look amazing after pressing. I absolutely love how hydrangeas can elevate the overall design! To ensure her bouquet arrives safely in Germany, I recommended layering it with resin—essential for navigating strict customs.

When I received this bouquet, it was already 5 days old. I asked Grace about the condition of the flowers to see if they could be preserved. Most of the flowers were preserved, so I just needed to save the roses. I created a design for her, but she preferred all the petals mixed together and I add gold flakes to enhance the pieces. It turned out so beautiful!

Let’s be honest, the longest part of flower preservation is the drying process, which usually takes 4-8 weeks. However, with the method I use, it only takes 1-3 days for flowers to completely dry (3 days for tropical bouquets). This saves a lot of time in the drying process. The quicker the flowers dry, the better they retain their beauty. The second longest time is needed to cure the resin. Usually, a layer takes 24-48 hours to cure. The more layers you add, the more time it will take. I specialize in pressed flowers, which typically don’t require many layers of resin. I use a maximum of 1-3 layers, depending on the design you prefer, and I use resin that cures in 24 hours (the best quality resin I have found so far), which is very helpful for me.
However, this faster turnaround time of 5-7 days is only possible for Traditional frames (including those layered with resin) and additional add-ons.

P.S. :I only open up to 4 bouquets every month since I handle everything myself. This allows me to give each bouquet my full attention and ensure the best quality. Your flowers are more than just flowers to you and to me.

P.S.: At the moment, I’m unable to disclose the specific method I use for drying flowers. It has taken a considerable amount of effort, time, and investment for me to learn this technique. However, I hope to open a class someday where I can share this knowledge with you. Stay tuned for updates in the future!

I'm Ing, the person who started Ista Flowers. I began flowers preservation and making resin art in 2019. But then I had to stop for a while because of my job, and later on, I became a mom to my sweet son, Ishaan. I kind of forgot about my flower work for a bit. After giving birth, I felt like losing myself, and I had PPD for 6 months. Writing in a journal helped me feel better during that time. So, I started making my own journal using recycled paper and tried flowers preservation again. Sometimes I thought about just focusing on one thing, like bouquets preservation or making journal. But when I asked myself why I started all of this, I realized it wasn't just because I like writing or flowers. It was because it helped me figure out who I am. Doing this makes me happy and brings joy to my life every day, not just as a mom or a wife, but as myself, Ing. So, I'm here to help you enjoy every moment by writing and preserving your flowers.
