My Husband by Tokuko Ushioda
The joyful days with her husband, Shinzo Shimao, and daughter, Maho in a one-room unit of a Western-style house and her solitude she faced alone in the quiet night; Dormant for 40 years, the story of these photographs is finally uncovered. A set of two books with Book 1 and Book 2 each showcasing the 6×6 and 35mm photographs respectively.
Each day, after night fell and residents of the house were fast asleep, our refrigerator made a loud rumble, followed by odd singing sounds. Hearing that awoke inside me my unknown worries about nothing in particular, yet about everything in the future. After some time, the moon and stars would fade into the distance. Outside of our large window with no curtains was a dark forest that I would stare at. Soon enough, I would drift into sleep.

King, Queen, Knave by Gregory Halpern
Over two decades, Gregory Halpern has been photographing in and around his hometown of Buffalo, New York, meticulously crafting the series of photographs that forms his latest monograph. King, Queen, Knave is an idiosyncratic vision of a city amidst its contradictions, defying familiar narratives of post-industrial decline and embracing an enigmatic strain of reality verging on surrealism. Halpern’s mesmerising sequence unfurls as a stage across which distinct and unpredictable characters appear in and amongst solitary buildings, snowdrifts, and sun-bleached scenes of everyday transcendence.
The images often locate their subjects within the specificities of the season and balance a historical project with the immediacy of a moment in its individual radiance. Embracing themes of reversal and ascension, Halpern confronts the complexities of his birthplace and of contemporary America at large, seeing beauty intertwined with ugliness and redemption with despair. This lyrical new work is testament to the endless complexity of a place at once familiar and unknown.

I’ll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours by Carolyn Drake / Andres Gonzalez
‘In the morning, we dash along the sidewalks – you on your side, me on mine, watching as people cross the busy street.’
In I’ll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours, photographers and longtime partners Carolyn Drake and Andres Gonzalez embark on a collaborative journey along the US–Mexico border, creating an imaginative portrait of life in these borderlands. Traversing towns and waterways together they photographed the same subjects from different perspectives, capturing everyday scenes that appear both staged and ad hoc. The resulting series of uncanny image pairings illuminates the serendipity of human connection while confronting the challenges of relating to one another, finding balance, and defying conventional identities.
Through this striking sequence, Drake and Gonzalez reflect on their different family histories of migration and identity and the ways their backgrounds both intersect and diverge. Deliberately eschewing the temptation to follow a singular narrative or freeze a fleeting moment in time, their images instead suggest the multifarious nature of existence along the border.

A Difficulty is a Light by Rebecca Norris Webb
This is poet and photographer Rebecca Norris Webb’s first hybrid poetry collection, punctuated by more than a dozen of her lyrical photographs. This elegiac book explores the geography of loss—both personal and environmental— after the su***de of her sole remaining brother, compounded by the earlier loss of his identical twin. Glimpse by glimpse, she also follows the ever-shifting world of light beginning in Trieste, Italy, then traveling from Cape Cod to the Dakotas, from New England to the Carolinas, ultimately observing bird migrations in the American South and northern France, as this book is also a meditation on various kinds of twinning—birds and brothers, grieving and migration, loss and light, badlands and coastlines, words and images, and seeing and dreaming.

How Banksy Saved Art History by Kelly Grovier
A new take on the history of art through the eyes of the international phenomenon that is Banksy.
Few would dispute that Banksy is the most famous urban artist in the world today. That he is also a perceptive art historian might come as a surprise to many. Taken together, the myriad memorable works the street artist has created over the course of the past thirty years, constitute an audacious commentary on the history of image-making—a captivating critique waiting to be pieced together.
Armed with little more than stencils, spray paint, and an anonymizing cloak of after-hours darkness, Banksy has forged an alluring identity for himself as an incorrigible prankster who doesn’t embrace tradition, but shreds it. Consider Banksy and you think of grubby city walls far removed from elite galleries and privileged museums where art is conventionally shown. What actually illuminates Banksy’s audacious murals, impromptu urban sculptures, and vandalized paintings, however, is a profound understanding of the story of art.
Through the dark satirical lens of Banksy’s mischievous reimagined masterpieces, art history is viewed anew and brought into unexpected focus. From his droll lampooning of the Lascaux cave paintings to reinventing Monet’s enchanting water lily pond, a reboot of Géricault’s tragic, gut-wrenching vision to Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring now instilled with street cred, everyone’s genius is grist for his unmerciful mill. Far from being diminished in their significance, however, the works that Banksy ruthlessly parodies are ultimately refurbished by the ordeal. Banksy’s iconoclastic works force us to rethink our affection for and appreciation of great works of art that define cultural history.

Record 2
The direct sequel to a classic photobook. An exceptional selection of photographs from Daido Moriyama’s seminal magazine publication from 2017 to today.
Between June 1972 and July 1973, Daido Moriyama produced his own magazine publication, Kiroku, which was then referred to as Record. It became a diaristic journal of his work as it developed. In 2006, encouraged by the Japanese publisher Akio Nagasawa, Moriyama was able to resume publication of Record.
The first thirty issues of Record were edited by Mark Holborn into the now classic 2017 photobook of the same title. Daido Moriyama: Record 2, also edited by Mark Holborn, picks up from where the original left off, with a selection of images and texts by Moriyama from issues thirty-one to fifty of the magazine. With Moriyama now in his eighties, Record 2 will likely be the end of the story. But despite his advancing years, the work is unmistakably Moriyama’s aesthetic—fiercely contrasted images with fragmentary, intensely composed frames that express the vision of one of the greatest photographers.
Kilat Italia by Edmond Leong
Presenting KiLat Italia my second "KiLat" Series, a journey marked the first time I travelled solo, to the furthest place I've been from home: Italy.
Spending 9 days exploring the central area of Rome by foot (to be cost effective!), clocking up almost 360,000 steps in total.
I explored many historical landmarks, delved into the local arts and culture, and experienced the profoundness of the Catholics’ influence on the city.
I hope to share with you my journey, through what I saw and experienced in KiLat Italia.

Tiga Mata, Issue #1: Vivacious, edited by Noi Chin
Tiga Mata is a bi-annual Southeast Asian photography zine published by Zontiga, a creative hub for photography enthusiasts located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
Aimed at inspiring the community within the region and creating visibility for photo-related artists, Tiga Mata hopes to showcase different perspectives and embrace the diverse way we see the world.
In Issue #1—curated by Guest Editor Noi Chin—we explore the theme 'Vivacious'.
It's a word that embodies energy, enthusiasm, and a zest for life; whilst at the same time, reminds us that life and vigour also exist in still life and nature, and something seemingly mundane can bring one both peace and excitement.
Through an open call launched in late-2023, we asked photographers what 'vivacious' meant to them.

State of Emergency by Max Pinckers
State of Emergency - Harakati za Mau Mau kwa Haki, Usawa na Ardhi Yetu is a documentary project in collaboration with Mau Mau war veterans and Kenyans who survived colonial atrocities. In the form of in-person reenactments, or "demonstrations," together they (re)visualise the fight for independence from British colonial rule in the 1950s, manifesting their past experiences in the present with a future audience in mind. With most of the colonial archives deliberately destroyed, hidden or manipulated, this project attempts to shine a light on this history’s blind spots by creating new ‘imagined records’ that fill in the missing gaps of historical archives. State of Emergency interweaves fragmentary colonial archives, photographs of architectural and symbolic remnants from the past, mass grave sites, demonstrations and the testimonies of people who experienced and survived the war themselves.
State of Emergency is a collaborative attempt at rebuilding and reimagining possible futures of reparation and reconciliation. Together with the National Museums of Kenya and members of Mau Mau War Veterans Association, they deliver a collective response aimed at healing—without erasing—the still gaping wounds of colonial violence, creating a restorative instrument of the photographic medium that makes it possible to tell their truths to the powerful.

Arcadia (Second Edition) by Ian Howorth
Arcadia has been referred to in popular culture as a utopian vision for centuries. A fictional place which is fertile and bountiful. Held aloft by artists, poets and playwrights as a depiction of one’s individual paradise. Now eroded by times relentless indifference to change, it remains lodged in our collective psyche as a touchstone.
In his series by the same name Ian Howorth looks to use this existing cultural framework to explore his personal connections to his own utopian ideal of ‘home’. Having relocated many times as a child before finally settling in Britain, his relationship with this concept has been fraught. Often considering himself an outsider.
The images in this series capture a retro nostalgia and constantly question our preconceived ideas of beauty. Arcadia takes us from the serene if not metronomic seaside towns of the South to the Working Mens Clubs and forgotten factories of the North. Through his unique style and mastery of film, Ian highlights a contemporary Britain suffocated by its past whilst allowing the viewer to draw their own conclusions.

The Ends Sends Advance Warning by Todd Hido
For over 25 years, Hido has crafted narratives through loose and mysterious suburban scenes, desolate landscapes, and cinematic portraits. Irrespective of its title, this is a book about hope and beauty and why we seek it so desperately at this time. For his latest images he has roamed as far as the Hawaiian Islands and their meteorological opposites; the shores of the Bering Sea, and Nordic fjords above the Arctic Circle. Even with such geographic diversity, Hido captures places that feel at once familiar and unknown; welcoming and unsettling.
With this stunning new monograph, Hido picks up where his previous title Bright Black World left off, presenting some 80 new and previously unpublished landscape photographs. The End Sends Advance Warning is beautifully printed on heavyweight art paper and bound in offset printed linen. The book also includes 9 tipped-in photographs printed on Kasadaka art paper, as well as tipped-in and laid-in booklets. A masterpiece of an artist’s book, and a must for the serious contemporary art library.

Drum (Errata Editions) by Krass Clement
Photographed in a small pub in Drum, Ireland, on a single evening and with only a few rolls of film (and a rumored "five pints of Guinness"), Krass Clement (born 1946) created one of the most important contributions to the contemporary Danish photobook. His 1996 Drum opens in a darkening and foggy town, with a workday ending and some men heading off for a drink. Through subtle shifts in focus and a masterful filmic sequencing, the book comes to concentrate on one principal character in the shadowy pub: a hunched, weather-beaten old man sitting alone with his drink. Drum is a quiet, dusky meditation on community, the outsider, alienation and the terrors of being alone. A virtually unobtainable and therefore highly sought-after photobook, Clement's masterwork is here reproduced in full, accompanied with an essay by photo historian Rune Gade.
Errata Editions' Books on Books series is an ongoing publishing project dedicated to making rare and out-of-print photography books accessible to students and photobook enthusiasts. These are not reprints or facsimiles but complete studies of the original books. Each volume in the series presents the entire content, page for page, of an original master bookwork which, up until now, has been too rare or expensive for most to experience. Through a mix of classic and contemporary titles, this series spans the breadth of photographic practice as it has appeared on the printed page and allows further study of the creation and meanings of these great works of art. Each volume in the series contains illustrations of every page in the original photobook, a new essay by an established writer on photography, production notes about the creation of the original edition and biographical and bibliographical information about each artist.
