Rice fields and jungle appear through the colonnades of the restaurant at Amanjiwo, sweeping out for miles until they reach the distant volcanoes, which appear through the mist to claim the horizon. As the traditional gamelan plays, classic Indonesian and Javanese dishes are served, along with Western favourites created using ingredients harvested from the Amanjiwo’s own gardens and local farms.
