Report text adalah teks yang memberikan informai tentang sesuatu secara umum (general). Contoh, Anda ingin mendeskripsikan kehidupan seekor paus secara umum.

Tujuan dari report text untuk mengklasifikasi dan atau mendeskripsikan dengan menggunakan fakta-fakta tentang bagian, kebiasaan, dan kualitas subjek.
