Some people use to ask me if I’ve ever fallen in love with some of my models. The truth is I indeed need to be in ‘love’ with them to catch the very essence of their femininity and/or sensuality. I need to admire them for sure, as I’m aware they’re very brave to undress before a male photographer that they sometimes barely know. But, when I’m in a shooting mode, I fully forget about my emotions and focus instead on the target I need to achieve: pure beauty & sensuality. Therefore, no need to tell you that, at the end of a shoot, I don’t have the strength to do anything else but have some rest… ;-)

I use to propose a test-shoot to young women or models who’ve never posed naked. It’s a good way, according to me, not only for me to check her body and eyes expressions but also for her to feel whether she can trust me. And, sometimes - I must admit, test-shoots are even better than official ones… I’m still wondering why! :-)

I believe it’s very important that there’s a good artistic chemistry between photographers and models, thus a good communication between them is paramount. I personally think that I’m a good listener and that’s perhaps the reason why many models have trusted me so far. Actually when a model gets physically naked, she tends to undress her mind too and is then prone to tell more about herself or her personality. That’s the moment when the photographer must pay attention in order to catch the very moment when she gives herself over fully!
