Cdys Carrigtwohill
CDYS is committed to providing a range of services that positively value and nurture young people.
Hi all,
I have some sad news to share with you. CDYS Carrigtwohill will be closing it's doors for the last time from the 22nd July.
It's going to be a massive loss to the young people in the community and it's them we must be thinking about now. Today was a sad day for many of them.
I just want to add that it has been a brilliant project to work on for the last two years and I really hope I get to see as many of you as I can before I finish. The community spirit in Carrigtwohill has always blown me away and I just want to acknowledge that and say thank you for all the help and support that came my way from day 1.
Adrian

DOCUMENTING YOUNG PEOPLE’S EXPERIENCES OF SELF ISOLATION
AN ONLINE PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT
The National Youth Council of Ireland wants to document what life has been like for young people during the current public health restrictions. We would like to hear from youth work services and organisations who would like to support young people to take photographs of their daily lives and help them submit to NYCI for inclusion in an online gallery illuminating what life is like for young people across the country during the current restrictions and recording this experience for the future.
Excellent photographs can be taken on phones and submitted easily to us, so no specialist equipment is required. You can also avail of support from a photography practitioner if you choose. We will set a small photography challenge each week for young people to photograph and ask you to submit some of their work to NYCI each week. This will be compiled into an online photo gallery of their experiences of the current health crisis and the impact on their lives, hosted on NYCI’s youth.ie website.
