Ballymachugh first came into existence under the name “The Finea Knights of Freedom” in early1888 and is therefore one of the oldest clubs in Cavan.
The senior team currently play in the intermediate championship, which they last one in 1999. The club is currently running a fundraiser 20 for 20. What a fabulous celebration of camogie in Ballymachugh GAA Ballymachugh LGFA in Sheelin park, yesterday evening!
An evening of chat, laughter, stories of old and the craic that was had. A formidable crew of sportswomen with a few fine men to back them up.
Congratulations again to the junior championship winning team of 1974, the intermediate championship winning team of 1975 and the senior championship winning team of 1978. Congratulations to all who played a part in making Ballymachugh Camogie the success it was over the years.
Thank you to all who attended the celebration and contributed to it. Thanks also and well done to Mary Boylan and Rosemary Galligan the chief organisers.

A few ladies from the 1970's teams have arranged a get together in Sheelin Park Clubrooms Sunday 8th September 2024 from 5pm.
We invite everyone who was involved in the club over the years - players, coaches, helpers and supporters to come along. (Bring photos if you have any) for a trip down memory lane. There will be photos, refreshments and a raffle on the day.
Thank you to all who brought their tractors out yesterday and to all who supported the tractor run in any way. There was a great community effort in providing food to our participants with Breakfast in Finea, Tea & Buns in Buddies and BBQ in Finea. Thank you to all who helped contribute to a great annual event.

LET'S CELEBRATE!!!
It's 50 years since Ballymachugh won their first Camogie title in Cavan in August 1974, with further titles won in 1975 and 1978.
We will celebrate with a get-together in Sheelin Park Clubrooms on Sunday 8th September at 5pm.
