This Christmas we are offering a range of services to help you during the hectic festive season.
Do you have children excitedly anticipating santa bringing them a range of different toys? Well why not have a clear out and organising session before the big day and make space for the new toys clothes and books they may receive!
Maybe you don't have an issue with toys, maybe your dreading putting up the Christmas decorations. This year, to take away some of the stess hire us and we will put up your tree, string your lights and all thats left is to decorate it to your taste; and if you don't fancy doing that we can do that too!
Also, we offer a cleaning service to prepare your house for the festive season.
This can be a deep clean before your decorations go up or family members arrive. Or a general clean to give u a break during the busy season.
We are also offering January services to take down decorations, or organising of any gifts to minimise clutter in your homes in the new year.

Monday motivation!
Who's lacking some motivation this Monday? Just me?
MY TIP:
If you are lacking motivation, set a timer and turn on some music. Pick a room and do 15-30 minutes and test how much you can do in your allotted time.
You'll be surprised how quickly you can get a room transformed in such a short amount of time if you put yourself on a time limit. When your time is up move onto another room or be proud of the achievement you have reached. some times we feel overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs to be done, but by breaking it down into manageable short jobs with a time limit you'll get loads of work accomplished.
Not completely finished (client hasn't decided what to with a few items)
But not bad for a days work.
3+ wardrobes worth of clothes sorted organised put away or stored for the following season.

I have been busy in the garden making the most of it, and also did a shed tidy up. I realised my shed had become somewhat of a dumping ground over the winter months, anyone else have that problem?

Did you know a study published in "Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin," found that women who described their living spaces as cluttered or full of unfinished projects were more likely to be fatigued and depressed than women who described their homes as restful and restorative. It was also found that women with messy or cluttered homes had higher levels of cortisol.
Cortisol, often called the “stress hormone,” causes an increase in your heart rate and blood pressure. High stress levels can lead to :
• Fatigue
• Irritability
• Headaches
• Intestinal problems
• Anxiety or depression
• Weight gain
• Increased blood pressure
• Low libido, problems with regular ovulation or menstrual periods
• Poor sleep

This job was so much fun! Here is a small glimpse of what was achieved.
Having space can mean we hold onto things we don't need, and that's exactly what happened to this client. She had 3 rooms, all filled with clothes, bags, and shoes that she barely wore.
We decluttered 3 bedrooms and now have a nice system for her to follow. Her main bedroom is now being used for her everyday clothes for this season.
The second bedroom has a clothes rail of unworn clothes she is planning to sell or donate.
The third bedroom is now where her summer clothes and occasion wear are kept.
Having a separate area for summer/winter wear really helps us not over pack our wardrobes.
We took 3 huge bags to charity and found an order that opened up her wardrobe so she could see all the items she owned. I grouped together like items like bags/hats /jewellery (not photographed here), so everything has a place, and she can find her belongings with ease.

So Fridays fix it results!!
This customer had let her book room become an area to place things she couldn't find a spot for. It had become a source of stress and was overwhelming for her to even know where to start.
Together, we worked on decluttering and finding a solution to the items that had no home.
I absolutely loved this job. What began as hesitance of decluttering turned into 4 bags of donations and 2 bags of items to be recycled ♻️ she really got into the spirit and realising what wasn't serving her in her home. It was a pleasure to work on this job, and the customer felt so relieved to have her room back to its original glory!
And I think we can all agree it is a fabulous room, every book lovers dream! She even has space on her shelves now to add to her ever growing collection!

Let me start with some advice for the parents of young children. Let's talk childrens toys and games. It can be a source of untidy or crowded rooms and arguments with kids about tidying them up. Or in some cases both. Kids bring so much happiness to our lives, but also so many belongings from babies to teens,our homes become storage havens for our kids' possessions!
Toys kids love them, parents not as enthusiastic. Having so many toys can feel like you live in a toy store but not only that its also a waste of money, as usually in cases of excess toys this will result in lost or broken pieces or a selection of unloved unused toys taking up space in your home.
Kids love to say they are bored and that they having nothing to play with or do, this could be because they are overwhelmed with the amount of toys they have on offer that they are used to seeing.
Why not try to rotate the toys your children have? Keeping some out of reach or storaged out of the way, that way if you rotate them every few weeks/months children will have the chance to play with toys that they haven't seen in a while and will feel like a new toy again.
Also, another important tip for kids and their toys : TIDYING UP. Teaching kids tidying up is a part of the activity; not tidying things away when they have finished playing is not finishing the activity. This will stand to them in so many areas of their lives. Finishing an activity is so important for everyone. I see so many adults struggle with this also. Are you guilty of having dinner and leaving the dishes till the next day? This would mean you, too, did not finish the activity. Which leads to unfinished tasks and another task to do later/tomorrow. We don't need to prolong the inevitable.
