As lockdown starts to ease..... you decide for you, I'll decide for me. None of us have the same circumstances (medically high risk child/ family member or a business about to go under, etc.) Let's all stay in our own lanes and keep the judgement down as we begin to unlock. No one should feel pressured either way.
Just a thought... As all of us are trying to figure out how to ease back into normal, please remember:
🛑 Some people don’t agree with the unlocking.... that’s ok. Be kind.
🏡 Some people are still planning to stay home.... that’s ok. Be kind.
🦠 Some are still scared of getting the virus and a second wave happening.... that’s ok. Be kind.
💰 Some are sighing with relief to go back to work knowing they may not lose their business or their homes....that’s ok. Be kind.
👩🏾⚕️Some are thankful they can finally have the surgery they have had put off....that’s ok. Be kind.
📝 Some will be able to attend interviews after weeks without a job....that’s ok. Be kind.
😷 Some will wear masks for weeks.... that’s ok. Be kind.
💅🏻 Some people will rush out to get their hair or nails done.... that’s ok. Be kind.
❤️ The point is, everyone has different viewpoints/feelings and that’s ok. Be kind.
We each have a different story. If you need to stay home, stay home. But be kind.
If you need to go out, just respect others when in public and be kind!
Don’t judge fellow humans because you’re not in their story. We all are in different mental states than we were months ago. So remember, be kind.❤❤❤

TOPIC: IT'S NEVER ABOUT STOPPING SOMETHING, IT'S ABOUT STARTING SOMETHING.
When we think about stopping something it implies that we have been doing something wrong, getting it wrong, the old JCB of judgment, blame and criticism are in full flight. What's missing is the appreciation of how much our behaviours were solutions and honouring how necessary they were for us. How our behaviour made total and absolute sense in the context of our unique story.
It is not about changing who we are, it is about emergence from the places of hiding that have served their purpose well and noticing perhaps how we might very gently and with great compassion bring ourselves by the hand towards starting to open a little more to life.
I look forward to welcoming you as ever to the safetY and sanctuary that is FLOURISH.

So much conflict in relationships arises from fuzzy boundaries. Clarity around what is a boundary for me and what is a defense against another guarantees reduced friction.

FLOURISH - Friday 9th November 10.30-12.30.
FLOURISH is a group I facilitate which meets regularly to provide a sanctuary where we can explore issues which crop up in our everyday lives in safety and with support. Often we learn more from the generous stories and experiences of others than we do from our own lives. There is however absolutely no pressure on anyone to speak, it is purely voluntary.
Do you find yourself doing what will make others believe you are worthy?
Things that are no longer fulfilling? Things that are no longer productive?
Having to prove your worth to others in order to convince yourself?
Where do I confuse my being and my worth?
Does it hide in the caring for others.
Placing everyone else's needs ahead of my own.
Is my work my hiding place, is my work my worth.
Does it hide in always saying what I believe others want to hear.
Any of the places where is hides eventually lead to resentment and blame. Every defense is an act of love,. every boundary is act of love for ourselves and the other.
Boundaries need to be a daily constant reflection, so that new solutions can emerge.
