Dear all, we are wondering if you can help out with a query by a third year student from the university of Liverpool. She is trying to identify what the small concave domes are at the bottom of the photo for a microplastic project she is working on. Initially she suspected spores but found out they’re not and they’re not organic. These domes don’t reoccur within any of her other sample (from muddy estuarine areas). If you have any idea what they could be and if they could potentially be BPVA-PVA polymer hemispheres please let us know in the comment function below and hopefully we can help out. Thank you
