Hi everyone,

Sorry for the late post but we have had a hectic day preparing the yard for the BBQ and I cannot for the life of me work this Google Maps route planner 😅

From Midway Food Court Portlaoise to A67 EA39 via M7 & Wicklow Mountains.

Key things to note as the route plan link below is not 100% perfect:

Meeting @ Midway Food Court Portlaoise @ 10:30am

PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE A FULL TANK OF FUEL LEAVING THE MIDWAY IN PORTLAOISE. Petrol station on site. There are small petrol stations on route for those who need a top up but it’s best to fill up before we leave.

Leaving Midway Food Court Portlaoise @ 11:30am SHARP - NO EXCEPTIONS (unless I’m late!😝)

When leaving The Midway in Portlaoise, please allow all Toyota Starlets to leave in convoy first, followed by all other Toyotas and any other makes and model cars at the back. This event will be covered by video and drone footage and we want all the Starlets to keep together for good visuals. This will require us to stop several times along the route to allow the camera cat to go ahead and set up the shots before we pass through the scenic locations.

Travelling North on the M7 and coming off at EXIT 12 - DO NOT CONTINUE ON THE M7 TOWARDS NAAS

We are then heading to Poulaphouca via Curraghchase Edge on the map

From here continue along the N81 road and TURN RIGHT OVER BALTYBOYS bridge. DO NOT CONTINUE STRAIGHT INTO BLESSINGTON - map is showing slightly wrong

Rest of map is all good as far as Rathdrum, only the end point is slightly off.

Eircode for end location and BBQ is A67 EA39 (brown electric gates with Mountain View Farm written on them) DO NOT enter the neighbours house beside the gate and NOISE MUST BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM HERE.

The duration of the run is expected to be approximately 3 hours. We expect to be back at my farm for the BBQ at approximately 3pm.

Please remember that this is a Toyota Starlet run and BBQ only and is not an open invite for other makes and models. If you are planning on coming in a different type of car, this MUST be cleared with me first as entry to my farm for the BBQ will only be permitted for Toyota Starlets or those in other cars who have cleared it with me in advance.

The Go Fund Me link for all donations to the Irish Red Cross is now open. I have left this optional for people but I feel you are getting a lot on the day for no charge whatsoever, so a reasonable donation to this great charity cause is only right.

This is late to be posting this so not everyone might see it but can anyone planning on attending the big Starlet Run this Sunday 3rd July please mark as attending on this event page please?

We need to get approximate numbers for food so please only mark as going if you are actually going

Well lads people have been asking about this starlet meet that doesn't know about it so here is the information that Conor browne put up,

After much behind the scenes organising between Dean Kelly, Matty Byrne and Conor Browne, they have finally come up with a plan for a huge Starlet only meet this summer.

Some lads wanted a static meet, others wanted a run to actually drive the cars on and others wanted a BBQ, so we have done our best to please everyone and managed to incorporate all three! 👌

This will be the first Starlet only event of its kind ever ran in Ireland, and if all goes well I am happy to make it an annual event. Ireland has some insane Starlet builds and the interest in these cars is soaring once again which is great to see. This will be a great opportunity to put the Irish Starlet scene on the map and show off your car to fellow Starlet enthusiasts, share knowledge with each other and make handy connections for parts and work etc. We have a great Starlet community on this little island and it’s something we should all be proud of 👌

A large enough venue with the required permissions for a static show is difficult to find and runs the risk of being broken up by the gaurds soon after arriving which we don’t want. Being a public space it also leaves it open to other cars attending which takes away from the event.

Conor has put forward my farm as a final stop on the day where we can all relax on private property behind closed doors. There we will have peace and quiet to enjoy the cars, get some cool photos and listen to a few tunes and a BBQ.

Conors yard space is very big so he can accommodate a lot of cars, plus there is several big sheds there if the weather is bad

Conor will sponsor the food and barbecue on the day and will also sponsor a range of prizes on the day.

THIS EVENT WILL BE FOR TOYOTA STARLETS ONLY. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS, UNLESS AGREED IN ADVANCE WITH THE ORGANISERS.

CONOR WILL HAVE STAFF ON THE GATE OF HIS FARM AND ANY TAG ALONGS IN OTHER MAKES / MODELS WONT BE GETTING IN UNLESS PREVIOUSLY AGREED WITH ME. WE HAVE BRILLIANT NEIGHBOURS SO NO MESSING OF ANY TYPE WILL BE TOLERATED ON MY FARM OR ON THE ROADS AROUND IT. DONT BE THE K**B WHO GETS THIS EVENT CANCELLED FOR EVERYONE NEXT YEAR

THIS WILL NOT BE AN OPEN INVITE FOR ANY TYPE OF CAR TO ATTEND AND IS NOT TO BE OPENLY SHARED ON SOCIAL MEDIA, ONLY CIRCULATED AMONGST THE STARLET COMMUNITY.

Sunday, 3rd July, 2022

In aid of the Irish Red Cross in Ukraine 🇺🇦🇮🇪

Start Point: Midway Car Park Portlaoise @ 10:30am. Departing here at 11:30am SHARP

Driving as a huge Starlet convoy from Portlaoise across to Wicklow via the Wicklow Mountains. The scenery here is fantastic and we will see Blessington lakes and sorrounding areas, Laragh Waterfall, Guinness Lake where they film The Vikings, Glendalough, Roundwood etc etc. The exact route will be finalised closer the time and we will factor in fuel stops if required and photo opportunities. We will then finish at my yard near Wicklow Town for a BBQ and music and some photos and craic etc. There will be prizes for the following:
