TEN Rising Elite Academy are beyond excited to have been invited to the UK by our partners to take part in an invitational scouting event against professional UK clubs later in the year.

As part of this event, we have the opportunity to have a squad of 18 from Ireland join us to showcase their football skills and talents to and against EFL clubs.

This tailored football development tour opportunity will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis upon the opening of registration.

🗣 ANNOUNCEMENT

Following a successful Train and Trial Event last month during which James O’Halloran was chosen as the scouted athlete to go on trail in the UK, we have decided to host another event this month to provide another young athlete with this opportunity.

From August 23rd to August 25th (10am-1pm) we are offering the unique experience for your child to attend a 3-day open invitation train and trial event at Mayfield AFC, Lotamore Park for children aged 11-15.

One player from this event will receive an opportunity of a lifetime to travel to the UK to take part in the training at our Puma Teamwear Performance Pathway Academy which will include taking part in a match against a professional club.

All this will be in preparation for a trial which we will organize with one of our partner UK clubs which now include Ipswich Town, Cambridge United, Leyton Orient, Peterborough United and Aston Villa.

We ended day 5 with a football tournament and medal presentation for all of our young footballers who put down a great week of football training and improvement.

TRAIN AND TRIAL JULY EVENT: SCOUTED ATHLETE

Thank you to everyone who attended our July 3 Day Train and Trial Event.

Similarly to our trials in the UK, it was a pleasure to see such young athletes with such eagerness to learn and develop new skills and the ability to apply hard work and commitment to achieve their football dreams ⚽️

Ambassador of Performance Pathways, Alan Lee in conjunction with George O’Callaghan and Craig Robinson have been working through their selection process and have now finalised their decision.

Our selected scouted athlete for this event who will travel to the UK is….James O’Halloran 🔥

We are so excited to be able to provide James with this opportunity after the skills and hard working attitude he portrayed at the trial.

James will travel to the UK and will receive an opportunity to:

◾️Train at our Performance Pathway Development Centre.
◾️Take part in a match against a professional club.
◾️Go on trial with one of our UK partner clubs.

As well as being a former Republic of Ireland international, Alan Lee has 20 years of experience as a professional player with clubs including Aston Villa, Cardiff City, Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace. He is a UEFA ‘A’ and FA Advanced Youth Licensed coach who is committed to supporting aspiring footballers within education.
Alan Lee is also Head of our Performance Pathways International Centre of Excellence at Culford Football and Head of Player Development at Bury Town Football Club.

UK TRIAL OPPORTUNITY presented by PERFORMANCE PATHWAYS & TEN RISING FA

Next week, from Tuesday 27th July to Thursday the 29th July we are offering the unique opportunity for your child to attend a 3-day open invitation train and trial event at Mayfield AFC, Lotamore Park for children aged 11-15.

Alan Lee, Academy Director will be flying in to deliver this trial event for our Academy that will be launched in September 2021. Joining the coaching team will also be ex professional George O'Callaghan and TEN Rising Director of Football/Founder of CR Coaching, Craig Robinson.

Alan Lee and George O’Callaghan will be selecting one player from this event to receive an opportunity of a lifetime to travel to the UK to take part in the training at our Puma Teamwear Performance Pathway Academy which will include the opportunity to take part in a match against a professional club.

All this will be in preparation for a trial which we will organize with one of our partner UK clubs which now include Ipswich Town, Cambridge United, Leyton Orient, Peterborough United and Aston Villa.

Our Summer Camp at Lakewood AFC is off to a great start. The sunshine is not stopping anyone with plenty of water and shade breaks 💪🏼☀️

Here we have young footballers listening attentively to Coach Lauren demonstrating a drill ⚽️🔥

With the heat temperature rising this coming week, parents may have questions over what precautions are being taken to protect their children while they are at our Summer Development Camp.

🗣 Dealing with hot weather is a part of the routine for our Summer Development camps, especially while temperatures may climb to the 20 degrees plus. This week, Summer may be more difficult than others. Some people are at higher risk for serious effects due to the heat and sun and need to take additional precautions.

Our Summer Camp senior coaches and Director of Football have received safety training and are CPR and First Aid certified, along with being trained in recognizing and getting treatment for heat stroke, heat exhaustion, heat cramps and sunburn.

Our daily precautions at our Summer Development Camps, ensure our coaches are trained and take steps in minimising risk by modifying outdoor activities in case of very hot weather.

Coaches achieve this by
a) Modifying activities to limit strenuous exercise and activities to short periods, followed by a cooling period.
b) More frequent cooling breaks – water and shade breaks will happen every 10 to 15 minutes during extremely hot weather.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions, the ability to move activities indoors is not available at present.

Parents please prepare your child for hot weather by :
📺 Listen to the radio/TV/for hot weather alerts
👕 Wear lightweight, light-coloured, loose fitting clothing
☀ Apply sunscreen (factor at least 15-30) before arriving at camp. Participants should bring their own sunscreen and reapply throughout the day as needed.
💧 Drink plenty of water. Avoid soft drinks and other caffeinated beverages.
🕶 Don’t overdo it – everything is a little slower paced on a hot day.
🩺Be sure to inform staff of your medical issues that may be impacted by hot weather.
