It is with sadness but with gratitude to each and everyone of you who supported us, that I am announcing the closure of Stalks & Stems after 25yrs .
It has become impossible to run a financially successful business as the mark up on fresh flowers has reduced dramatically over the past 4 years. We couldn’t be busier thanks to you our loyal customers but without that profit margin it is impossible to continue. Together we have seen the Celtic tiger, a recession, a pandemic and every funeral, wedding, birth, anniversary, birthday, tragedies and celebrations inbetween. My customers are a force to be reckoned with, letting me into your hearts and your homes and supporting me and my family during our ups and downs. Don’t ever underestimate the power of this wonderful community. I will still be looking after all my prebooked events, corporate occasions and weddings for the coming years. My work in Tidy Towns, Togher Markets and all other community groups will continue with as much love as I’ve always had for our community.
