Looking back at some of my fun moments these past few months. I've been working with the wonderful people who have trusted and allowed me to be part of their inner teacher, nurturing our body and mind through asana, pranayama and meditation.
We are taking some time off for now to enjoy the summer holidays. We will be back in September.

What is your Trikonasana/Triangle pose. Are you collapsing all the weight on the heel of the front foot, causing hamstrings stretch and the back of the knee? Or are you struggling to open the side body to release the spine?. You can modify your pose to achieve comfort and ease.🙏

✨️Four years ago, April/May was nice and warm enough to do my yoga practice outside. It was also a year of self reflection and self-discovery. There was so much loss and despair across the globe. It was hard to know where or what direction my life was leading me.

✨️But I kept practicing with joy, meeting myself where I am, at that particular moment, for each day is different. There are times when progress is slow, when illness or life circumstances limit my ability to move my body. During these days, I work on my inner self through meditation and breathwork.

✨️This keeps me grounded and balanced. It releases the tension and allows my body to heal. We all know that if there's tension in our bodies we may feel stiff and knotted, our minds may be jumbled up with worries and nervousness. This can lead to physical aches, mental or emotional issues.

✨️I could go on about how doing yoga increases our flexibility and strength, how it subtly purifies our tissues which affects our energetic system, etc. But I could be here forever 😉

✨️The next class is on Tuesday, 7th May in Glenville National School.

🕉Viparita Karani or legs up the wall pose is calming, relaxing, relieves tension in the lower back legs and feet. It may also improve circulation boosting your immune system. This is a deeply restorative pose that can be used as an alternative to shoulder stand. However because it's an inversion it should be practiced with caution and modification.

I love seasonal flowers. Emerging ever so beautiful, reminding us of the power of mother earth which is supported by water, fire(heat), air and space elements together they transform nature, humans beings even a solid rock.

🫁 We had our monthly Yoga Teacher meeting Glow Yoga College under the guidance of our Lead trainer Sri Radha this weekend, where we continue to learn, share knowledge, research, updates and everything yoga and how breath awareness is so important for our general well-being.

🫁There are so many breathing techniques available, all encouraging people to become aware of the quality of their breath to improve their health. In yoga, Pranayama or breath control has been practised for thousands of years.
