🇪🇸Flashback to last Saturday on day 3 of our tour in @pinordwinery …..the much needed rain didn’t dampen our spirits and Manuela brought us on a tour around their beautiful modern winery. We were treated to a great tasting and an amazing seafood paella lunch, cooked on site by their wonderful team…..what a treat!! 🇪🇸 Yesterday was day 2 of The Penedes Wine Tour & we visited two of the regions oldest wineries…..@familiatorreswines and @seguraviudas tasting still wines at Mas La Plana Vineyard as well as Riesling at Waltrud Torres Vineyard. Learning about the Torres Earth, regeneration and sustainability initiatives was as fascinating as the wines themselves. Mathilde who was sommelier at Segura Viudas gave the group a phenomenal tour of the cellars, the vineyards, the tanks and fermentation vessels before a fabulous tasting where we learned about food and cava pairing. All in all a fantastic day learning about the cava production process and how one little Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in Penedes (Mas La Plana) became the best cab sauv in the world putting Bodegas Torres on the map. Huge thanks for @osullmichelle from importers Findlaters in Ireland for their help bringing this to realisation for our group.
