Dublin Fringe Festival 2023: HOTHOUSE HOTHOUSE by MALAPROP. Image by Pato Cassinoni ***** Often, with theatre, the message overwhelms the medium. Indeed, a production is more likely to emphasise its themes and trigger warnings rather than its theatre. All very noble, I’m sure. Only some shows can feel like being trapped on a joyless c...

Hothouse review: Deadly serious and wildly funny Dublin Fringe Festival 2023: Sharp, nuanced script rips along under Claire O’Reilly’s assured, quirky direction
So. Just about eight years since LOVE+ was born, we have published a collection of four of our plays: Everything Not Saved, Before You Say Anything, Where Sat the Lovers, and HOTHOUSE. They represent a crystallising of sensibility, an evolution and a growing-up in our work. It is very odd and mad and proud and emotional. If you've ever come out of one of our shows and thought 'I want to see that written down' -- then now is your chance. These will be available in person for €16 during the run of Hothouse (until 16 Sept). If you want one but won't make it to Project this week, send us a DM and we'll figure something out.
We are so grateful to the many, many people helped us and all of these plays to get to stage and to page. Friends, family, funders, crowdfunders, collaborators, actors, advisors, designers, crew, critics, cheerleaders, Project, Dublin Fringe, the Arts Council, field:arts - thank yous all x

"Something I love about the piece is there is compassion for how we got here and hope for where we're going."
