Our library staff held a lego Stop Motion Animation workshop in Tallaght Library on Wednesday afternoon. We were very impressed with what the kids came up with in a very short time 👏👏👏

Children learn tunes and rhymes before they learn to speak. Singing is invaluable for the development of children from a very young age. Armed with the library’s two trusty sewing machines and our sewing resources, mending and making has never been so easy. Let the stitching adventures begin! As part of the BIG Toy Swap taking place nationwide, Tallaght Library is hosting our first toy swap on June 15th from 11am-12pm. Come along and swap up to 3 toys (clean, in good condition and all parts accounted for!) for tokens to “buy” other toys from our swap! Toy drop off is from 10-11am. The BIG Toy Swap takes place on the same day as our Cruinniú na nÓg celebrations. Fun for all the family! 😊

A small reminder that the first clothes drop takes place tomorrow (Wednesday) between 5pm-7pm for our adult clothes swap. Don’t panic if you can’t make it! A second clothes drop will take place Saturday morning between 10:15 to 10:45 (11th May). The clothes swap itself will take place between 11am-12.30pm on Saturday, 11th May. Swap Terms: • This swap is for adult clothing only. • 5 items per person will be accepted. • Items accepted will be clothes, clothing accessories and shoes. • Items should be clean, folded or pressed. • As long as all items are in good condition, we can accept them! A general rule is to bring items you yourself would love to take away. • No underwear or swimwear. • Ultimate discretion is ours as to whether items are accepted into the swap. • Tokens for clothes will be credited and charged as below: 3 tokens: dress/jacket/coat/shoes 2 tokens: blouse/shirt/skirt/trousers 1 token: t-shirt/shorts/ accessories
