A week on from a fantastic night at the 2023 @ecomm.live Awards am almost recovered. A major highlight in the calendar of the Irish digital industry and an all-round cracking event. Well done team on a huge success and kudos to all those shortlisted, commended and victorious in their respective categories. Maith sibh 👏🏻

Still processing all the information of the last two days, but what an interesting first trip to the wonderful #IRX23 conference at the @necbirmingham. … Full thoughts to follow, but a highlight speaker for me was Carly O’Brien, CMO of @gymshark who spoke about the importance of embedding the customer view in every aspect of the strategy. Use the data, create personas & audiences and focus relentlessly on serving that customer in a targeted way. Loved her recommendation to open the Monday trade meeting with the latest customer data. Great way to set the scene.. .. Another highlight was Chris Bishop, Digital Director of @nobodyschild, who talked about the success of the brand to date being driven by the classic 4 P’s and how digital retail in a downturn needs agile, flexible thinking but also the ability to focus on the long term view. His advice was that your relationship with the CFO/Financial Director is critical to success and company-buy in, especially in trying times.. .. Overall a great few days.. looking forward to getting home now 😴 ✈️ 🇮🇪
Now that the dust has settled and the bag is unpacked, it’s time to say a huge thank you to @kevtraynor and the team at @ecomm.live for inviting me to be one of the MCs at this year’s #eCommLive conference. What a wonderful few days in #Belfast & what a great agenda - from networking and experiencing the city, to an amazing conference programme and a who’s who of top tier retailers and tech partners. Already looking forward to next year. Well done guys 👏🏻

On the road again for the annual #Magico Retailer Summit in the fabulous @glasson_lakehouse Wonderful chance to catch up and network with the Magico retailer group and hear what’s new with AB Commerce & also in the wider industry. I had the chance to host the expert panel discussion for the second year running, and I find the format encourages some really excellent contributions. Super informative session yesterday, hosted by @ecomm.live & the guys from @tiktok tiktok. Lots of food for thought 💡 and insight into the nuances of TikTok and how it’s different from the more established platforms and should be approached as such. Entertainment is key, as users ‘do not check TikTok, they watch TikTok’ so ya gotta be creative, fun & relevant 🤣 There’s no denying the power of the platform for retailers, particularly those targeting a younger demographic, so the future 🔮 will be interesting… #tiktok #digitalmarketing #ecommerce #socialmediamarketing
