When I say keep fit, it doesn't mean going to a gym and running for hours on a treadmill. I mean, getting outside, going for a run, going for a walk, a long hike maybe, setting a goal to clim

Treat meals! 👏👏So important to have as part of a healthy lifestyle! I never hold back when it comes to treat meals! If ya can't have something you crave, then there's a problem.
You should never feel bad for wanting the "not so healthy foods"!! If you're indulging in them every night, then there's no pleasure in having your treat meal!

It's been suggested to wear tight sports/gym gear so that you can see how your body/shape is changing with exercise. (that's if you want it to, of course).
It only motivates you then when you see little changes to keep on going with your exercise. 👍
Bought this for the time yesterday. Always have porridge or Sugar Free Alpen for breakfast but nice to change things around at the weekends!👌

With the evenings getting darker & slightly cooler, it's so important to get a warm meal inside you!!
Tonight it's fresh Cod on the menu with a little seasoning of garlic & herb! So yummy!
Potato wedges made from organic potatoes!
Carrots, garden peas & mixed onions & mushrooms!!
Fine big dinner but incorporated a 7km run into my day as well! It's all about balance!👌😋😋😋
No matter where I am or what I'm doing,
I wouldn't dare skip not having breakfast.
If you do, you just disrupt your eating patterns for the whole day. You might end up indulging in a large lunch, therefore not allowing room for dinner, etc...
Make sure to take a little time out for breakfast! Sets you up for the day! ☕️👍
I always take a shot of fresh orange juice- (the Innocent brand as this is purely natural. Avoid the carton orange juices as you'd find a lot of sugar & additives in these). I've been taking Iron for years & mix it with my shot of OJ!
I mostly have a bowl of porridge made with water with added raisins, nuts or like this morning, I opted for blueberries.🍲🍇
I've been taking Benecol drinks for a year too to help with cholesterol & to keep an overall healthy heart!
A little Vitamin D goes a long way! 🌞🌞
I know that's a bit difficult with our Irish climate but even when it's dry and the sun is shining, get out there still for a walk/ run, or whatever tickles your fancy. Just being outside is the best thing ever! You can still capture that fresh glow😊😊
It's only healthy to have a nice little treat every so often! I'm no expert, but it's all really about moderation. isn't it? Have it every day, it's not going to be good for you, have it every so often incorporated with exercise & healthy eating, it's ok!👌
A little tip, just cause they give you a full little tub of Nutella & cream, doesn't mean you need to clean it up!! Those pancakes! 😋😋
Get up get out & get ready for the day with a little exercise! There actually isn't no better way! Give it a try if you haven't done so before!👏👏👏👌

With the sun out, we're inclined to now hit the beach plus dig out those summery clothes!
Some people hate the thoughts of going to the beach but why not start now incorporating some exercise into your everyday routine. With the bright & dry evenings here, getting out for brisk walk or run will do you wonders.
MY WEEKLY EXERCISE ROUTINE IS:
* 7km Run 2-3 times a week.
* 30mins walk (3.5km) = 3-4 times a week.
* 10+km walks = 1-2 times a wk.
You get out what you put in!
I love exercise & being outdoors so it never feels like a chore or a dreaded thing!
And that feeling you get after a good walk or run is the best feeling! 👊👊😉👊💪🏻💪🏻🙅

What a fabulous meal I had last night! I'm not a big meat eater but I like my bit of sirloin now &
then! When you run 3-4 days a week, its important to refuel & feed your body well!
So yummy, could have it all over again!
And those wedges were made from organic potatoes! ( you don't need to go down to the chipper if you crave some chips🍟🍟🍟😁)!!
This was a great event at the weekend. Delighted with my time as well of just over 53mins..
I would definitely recommend anyone out there to take part in these events, whether you run it or walk it. They're great fun but theres something very accomplishing about crossing that finish line!

Carb fuelled dinner tonight! Did a good run this morning in windy wet conditions therefore was well deserved!
Make healthy choices-
I never eat white spaghetti. Its always brown wholegrain spaghetti. I choose lamb mince over beef mince! Sauce is low fat bolognese sauce. Added carrots onions & mushrooms!
And you have to add some garlic bread so you can scoop all that yummy sauce thats always left on your place at the end!!😁😋😋🍝🍝🍝
It wasn't easy this morning- when alarm goes at 6am & its wet dark cold & windy outside.. you either want it or don't- to be healthy & fit.. No one else is going to do it for you! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
