A super game of hurling ended in a draw on Monday night, both sides will need to dust themselves down for another battle this coming weekend!

In great conditions for hurling, Caherline had the better of things in the first half, up by 4 at half time. We had a great start to the second half and were 6 points up at the end of the third quarter. There were some tired bodies out there coming into the closing stages, but Templeglantine managed those last few minutes better and put themselves a point up with 90 seconds left. A free close in for us was blocked, but cleared to Conor O'Dwyer, who put it over the bar to draw us level. Seconds later, referee Philip Dee blew the final whistle, the fading light meaning the game would need to go to a replay on Saturday in Templeglantine.

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the sudden passing of former player and great supporter David Begley R.I.P.
David played junior hurling with Caherline during the 1980's and was always willing to help out with the underage teams when Gearoid and David played.
We extend our deepest sympathy to David's wife Mary his daughter Michelle sons Gearoid, David and all of the extended Begley and Boland families.
