Galbally Handball Club

Liscarroll Handball Club is delighted to present three tournaments this winter. With the reintroduction of the Joe Collins Memorial Masters and the Gerry Hallihan Team of 4 Memorial tournaments and the introduction of the Southwest Senior League, all adult handballers in Munster will be catered for in the coming months (entry is open to male and female players)!

Games will be hosted across Munster culminating in the finals in Liscarroll. Entry is open to players over the age of 18 years registered with a Munster handball club.

Well done to Paul Hedderman and partner Tomás Donegan of Galbally who won the Over 45A Munster Doubles final yesterday. They now go on to play the All Ireland semi in the new handball centre in Croke Park in 2 weeks

Wasn't to be for the lads today , falling to a 21-8 , 21-8 defeat to two good tipp lads who were clinical with their serving in both games !

First game under the belt for Adam and Ian who played their first Championship match today as a pairing , can only get better from here on..

A great turn out for finals day , some great games played and I can safely say the future is looking bright..

U9 boys singles went to Oran Murphy from Ballylanders (plays out of Galbally Club) coming from 10-5 down to beat Ciaràn (Broadford) 11-10

U9 Girls singles went to Ella Quinn from Hospital defeating Molly from Broadford

U11 boys went to Riain from Broadford beating Galballys Steven Davern

Ellie & Kaylee were crowned u11 doubles champions

Kaylee also walked away with the u11 girls singles defeating Ella Ryan from Hospital

U13 Boys singles went to Culann McCaffery of Hospital overcoming Kian from Anglesboro (Galbally Club)

U13 Doubles boys doubles went to Kian and and Conal from Anglesboro (Galbally Club)

U13 girls singles went to Ciara Murphy of ballylanders(galbally club) over coming Grace from Broadford in a 15-13 thriller !

2023 membership is now open on Foireann since the 1st January 2023. GAA Handball Clubs must have their annual levy (€160) paid by 31st January 2023

🗓All members to be registered and paid on Foireann by 31st January 2023

⛔️Any clubs who have not the above completed by 31st January 2023, players will not be registered and ineligible to play or hold any officer's role at Club, County, Provincial or National level.

Important Note:
Only players whose name appears on Foireann and have paid the registration fee will be allowed to play in any competition going forward. Names not on the register (Foireann) will be regarded as not registered.

Sunday saw two Galbally club men Battle out the first of 4 games in a round robin for a place on the County team for junior b singles..

Paddy came out on top defeating Adam 21-19 , 21-16..
