The YCN (Young Creatives Network) have published commendations for their 2018 International Student Awards programme. LSAD Graphic Design Communication students Sophie Gavin, Lisa McDevitt and Josephine Lim have been commended for their work on the Dogs Trust brief. The students will be attending an awards ceremony in London in September 2018. This years success adds to previous commendations for Graphic Design Communication in 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2017.
Since 2001 the YCN in London have organised an annual student design competition to showcase emerging creative talent. Students from Universities, Colleges and Art & Design schools across the UK, Europe, USA and Canada compete for these awards by responding to a collection of live creative briefs; written each year by partnering with brands, charities and other organisations.

DOGS TRUST Hi5
The integrated advertising campaign #dogstrusthi5 highlights the added benefits of adopting a rescue dog from Dogs Trust. The five major benefits are; dogs that are groomed, trained, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. #dogstrusthi5 means no hidden surprises but lots of fun! The #hi5 brand mark is an add-on to the existing Dogs Trust Branding, it has been designed to communicate the benefits of Dogs Trust dogs and to serve as a mark of approval.

Shiver Classic Horror Film Festival Aisling Cawley _ Horror films tell unsettling stories that evoke various reactions from panic to dread. These movies dealwith our most primal nature, it triggers our fight or flight response. There is a real thrill and fun factor in being scared. SHIVER is a classic horror film festival targetedtowards young adults. The festivals aim is to celebrate the horror genre and to help other people discover/rediscover classic horror movies. There are three animations and posters that promote the event, these animations will be shown in cinemas l before films and TV’s all over Ireland.
