Congratulations to Fr. Manning Gaels who won the the Mulleady Group Intermediate Football Championship Final yesterday in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park with a 1-06 to 0-06 victory over Sean Connollys.
Mark Glancy from Rathcline GAA was the referee and Martin Cassidy from Fr. Manning Gaels received the Man of the Match Award.
Longford GAA Chairperson Albert Cooney presented the Hennessy Cup to the winning Fr. Manning Gaels captain, John Paul Farrelly.

Congratulations to Abbeylara on winning the Peter Hanley Motors Longford Senior Football Championship Final yesterday in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park with a 2-10 to 1-07 victory over Colmcille.
John Cullen from Mostrim GAA was the referee and Robbie Smyth from Abbeylara received the Fr. McGee Man of the Match Award.
Longford GAA Chairperson Albert Cooney presented the Connolly Cup to the winning Abbeylara joint-captains, Cian Brady and Robbie Smyth.

Longford GAA at an emergency Management Committee meeting has decided, that due to worsening weather conditions and in the interests of the safety of spectators and players, to postpone today’s Mulleady Group Intermediate Football Final and the Peter Hanley Motors Senior Football Final.
The finals will be rescheduled by the Competitions Control Committee in the coming days.
Longford GAA apologises for any inconvenience to players or spectators.

The Junior B Final between Carrickedmond and St. Mary’s Granard scheduled for this evening in Emmet Park has been postponed due to a flooded pitch.

Longford’s Darren Gallagher has been named in the Leinster football panel announced for this weekend’s Allianz GAA Football Inter-Provincial Series at Croke Park.
Friday night will see Connacht face Leinster at 6pm followed by the meeting of Ulster and Munster at 8pm.
On Saturday the opening match sees the two beaten teams from Friday night meeting at 5.30pm followed by the clash of the two Friday night winners at 7.30pm.
The backdrop to the event is the trialing of the seven core enhancements put forward by the Football Review Committee and the subject of a special congress at the end of November.
Tickets are available from GAA.ie. Friday night’s games will be shown live on TG4 and Saturday’s games will be shown live on RTÉ.
