We are back up and running In Bettystown in the very heart of the village..
As a self employed Postmaster I am contracted to An Post to provide service’s for An Post..I have to provide premises staff etc etc my salary is transaction based..
If I don’t have customers I do not have a business this is the reality for every Postmaster/Postmistress in the 800 Post Offices that are left in this country..

First day at our new office nearly complete, looking forward to welcoming our customers back over the coming weeks! ❤️

We are back doing all transactions including lodgements and withdrawals for AIB , bank of Ireland and an post money. Withdrawals can be made up to €1500 depending on your own banking limits .

Hi everyone , a quick update ahead of our reopening this coming Monday.

Our new temporary office will be open this Monday the 26th of September. The premises is in-front of the Neptune bar previously known as hotspot tanning salon in Bettystown.
Normal business hours will go ahead on the 21st and 22nd of September in Laytown post office. We will close at 12 noon this Friday the 23rd to facilitate the move and reopening on Monday the 26th in Bettystown.
Thank you so much for ur patience over the last few months and a special thank u to Gemma from Laytown post office and William from pats in laytown for allowing us to operate from their premises.

Thank you for your patience today. Over the next few weeks we will only be able to pay out social welfare payments and take cash only bill payments . Everything else will need to be done by the laytown post office staff examples being postage stamps and bank lodgements/withdrawals.

Anyone who usually receives a payment in Bettystown post office must queue on the very left side of laytown post office and only be served by Raeann, Jenny or John . Please see the image below to avoid any confusion .

We will be serving our customers from 1pm onwards today in Laytown post office. Please only queue on the Bettystown side of the office for social welfare payments . Thank you for your patience .

We cannot believe this has happened again in such a short space of time . We are devastated for Patrick , all of the staff of pats centra and of course the macari family and it’s staff too . We have rebuilt before and hopefully we can do so again . If you have any elderly family or neighbours who may not use Facebook , please kindly let them know .

Payments will be made available in Laytown post office tomorrow at some stage after lunch time . Please bare with us during this time and we will post again with a definite time . Please do not arrive in the morning as we need time to organise ourselves .

Hi everyone, as you know it’s st Patrick’s day next week so just a quick message to let you know the arrangements for next weeks payments with us being closed the 17th & 18th.

Monday and Tuesdays payments can be collected on Monday the 14th.

Wednesday and Thursday payments can be collected on Tuesday the 15th.

Friday payments will be available on Wednesday the 16th .

PUP & DOM CARE PAYMENTS ARE AS NORMAL on Tuesday the 15th .
