Butterflies are powerful symbols of change and transformation and we too mirror these cycles of nature. The cocoon stage brings a period of growth and this growth makes way for a powerful transformation from a caterpillar to a butterfly.
Change and transformation are inevitable for us all, as change is a very natural part of life, it's a progression that happens constantly to all of us. The life of a butterfly closely mirrors the process of spiritual transformation as we too have the possibility of transforming by going within. This isn’t always an easy process but with patience, commitment and trust we heal and transcend our past just like the butterfly🦋

As a culture we have become far too comfortable with accepting and suppressing our bodies physical symptoms.We underestimate the bodies intelligence and have become victims of our symptoms rather than taking responsibility for them by looking deeper at what they may be trying to say. Often these messengers are showing us where we have been living out of alignment to who we truly are, something that can be difficult to accept in a culture that encourages us to look outside of ourselves for answers. Our bodies tell our stories, it's our responsibility to listen.

As we gain a little more self awareness and understanding of ourselves we can begin to notice our reactions and thought processes around our emotions. When we wake up to these unconscious reactions we can begin to gain a little more insight into our conditioning and programming. These reactions were once a protective mechanism, when we felt threatened we needed to return to safety. We continually respond the same old way until we begin observing our reactions and subtle feelings in our body rather than responding to them. It is through this conscious attention the door to change is opened.

A huge part of the healing journey is becoming more authentic to who we truly are. As we move through the layers of conditioning and old unconscious programming we begin to discover our true nature. Part of this means letting go of all that no longer serves us. As we heal, we grow and evolve. Parts of us no longer resonate with the past. Our jobs, environments, friendships, relationships and belief systems begin to change. We may simply outgrow them. Change can be extremely uncomfortable yet it's an essential part of the journey otherwise we remain the same. In order to heal, we must be willing to let go of the things that are not true to our nature

Our body lets us know each and every time we betray ourselves. We can often feel the energies of anger, resentment and blame when we do things we don’t want to do or say yes when we want to say no. We do this in order to avoid the uncomfortable feelings that arise when we put our own needs first - a common unconscious mechanism of protection. These denser energies can begin to disrupt the flow of healthy life force energy in the body creating tension like back aches, headaches, tightness in the chest etc..

When it comes to being authentic, it also brings a level of discomfort, part of which we must be willing to feel in order to reclaim our own power and take responsibility for our own decisions. Although this can be difficult it is a huge step in changing your own energy in your healing journey.
