Last year Daire Feeley added his name to the Sean Stagg Shield after a monumental battle with two riders from Burren Cycling Club, Paul Kennedy who came second and Mark Shannon who completed the podium. Since the inaugural version of this event in 2016 there have been some great races with some great racers adding their name to the front of the Shield, not least Padraig Marrey who was our first winner in 2016.
This year’s race starts in Hollymount at 6pm Saturday. In addition to the prestige associated with winning this race, there are vital Cycling Ireland points up for grabs in both races (A4 & A1/A2/A3)
Online registration is open and will remain open until 4pm Saturday evening.
As with all Races recently, numbers are currently very low for Saturdays event. We would ask any cyclist intending on racing on Saturday to register online ASAP to assist with the organising of this event.
