Tramore Tidy Towns
Volunteers are always welcome.
Tramore Tidy Towns works with the community to improve and enhance the visual appearance and environment of our local town making it a better place to live or visit.
Another great effort was put in from our volunteers on Galweys Hill yesterday, with three of our best lending their expertise to tend to the flowers and shrubs at the top of the hill. The view was only stunning and was enjoyed by all as they performed some weeding and pruning. The beautiful flowers in our care are attracting lots of happy insect pollinators, and also some human visitors who our volunteers were very happy to chat to. A big thank you to our volunteers who gave a little of their day to your Tramore Tidy Towns.
As our town is continually growing and expanding, Tramore Tidy Towns is keen to add more volunteers to our number. If you share the passion that we have in caring for our community please get in touch.
Lending us even the smallest part our your week can make a huge difference and would be very much appreciated. You will join a very welcoming group who enjoy making Tramore just that little bit better, you will make fast friends and also have plenty of fun. Simply get in touch with us us via FB or chat to one of our volunteers should you see them out and about. We look forward to hearing from you.
Well done to all that look after the ELM PARK Area, fair play it's looking fantastic, we will visit a few other areas around Tramore in the coming weeks
It is a lovely day in the bay and while walking trough our wonderful town today, Tramore Tidy Towns took the time to enjoy some of the beautiful blooms which are growing in various gardens, planters, window boxes and hanging baskets throughout Tramore. It clearly shows that our community is filled with people blessed with a green thumb.
We hope you enjoy them as much as we do, and please feel free to post some images of your own flowers and plants in the comments section. It's always good to share the beauty of our town with each other.

It was a little overcast today in the Bay, but when taking a little stroll through the town you can see all of the beautiful flowers that we have planted and have been caring for over the past weeks and months. Even if the sky is grey there is plenty colour to be seen which is sure to brighten your day. We were also delighted to see some of the lovely window boxes and displays in gardens all over the town, Tramore is really bursting with colour! A big buladh bos to our volunteers for all of the work they put in throughout the year, and to the residents of our wonderful town who take such pride in their gardens and window displays.

Some great hurling action this week, pop down to support your local teams at Tramore GAA Official!
Lots of hurling action this week in the club across all age grades so make sure you get down and watch a game. Our second adult hurling team has a home championship game on Thursday night as we get ready for the next round of the Intermediate Premier championship in Lemybrien on Saturday.
There was a little chill in the air this morning, but that did not deter your Tramore Tidy Towns Beach Clean team from setting out on their weekly 10am Sunday Beach Clean. With their plastic sacks and trusty pickers they tackled the beach and promenade, removing all kinds of refuse to leave the entire area just that little bit better and safer for us all to enjoy. A big thank you to all of those who gave their time today and also to Tramore Town Council who will remove the refuse and dispose of it correctly. No doubt the cups of chat had afterwards were all the sweeter after a productive morning of giving back to our community.
If you would like to join in with the Tramore Tidy Towns Beach Clean, the group convene under a great big Tramore Tidy Towns banner on the prom at 9:45am to get togged off and geared up before setting off at 10am, the more helping hands the better.

Tramore Tidy Towns was tripping about in between the rain drops again this morning and paid a visit to Pebble Beach, another bright pocket of the town that your Tramore Tidy Towns Team enjoys caring for. The area is looking only lovely now that the beds have begun to show their colours. I'm sure the lashing of rain we've had of late has had a good hand in that. When the sun has got its hat on it's a smashing spot to have a little picnic and take in the view over the lake and onto the beach.
A big thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who give a little part of their week into maintaining the area, and also to Tramore Town Council who give us so much help in everything we do.

It's another beautiful day in the bay (just don't look out the window!), and in-between the showers and before the fog descended, Tramore Tidy Towns ducked out to visit the picnic area beside Tramore AFC to see how it is progressing after all of the recent work performed by our great Tramore Town Council, and also by your Tramore Tidy Towns and Tramore AFC who always lend a hand in mowing the grass.
As you can see it is now beginning to really come into itself with all of the flower beds flourishing (they've had plenty to drink of late!), It's the perfect spot for visitors to pull in and have a bite and a cuppa before planning a day in our beautiful town.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped in creating such a welcoming space.
