🌈 Back in March…

…Trinity Support & Care Services celebrated its third birthday. This milestone is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our incredible teams. Every day, our various staff teams go above and beyond to ensure that the services we provide to some of the most vulnerable groups in society, are delivered in a person centred way, ensuring that each child and each adult are supported to live their lives to the fullest.

Our celebrations are not just about the years we've been in operation, but about the difference we make in the lives of those we support. This would not be possible without the commitment, passion, and expertise of the people who come together to enhance the lives of those at the very centre of our mission. Each team member plays a crucial role in creating an environment where individuals can thrive and receive the care and support they need and deserve.

We are immensely proud of our teams and grateful for their unwavering dedication. It is their hard work that enables us to celebrate not just our anniversary, but the countless achievements and positive changes we see in the lives of those we support every day. Thank you for your commitment to excellence and for being the heart of our mission and our values.

If you would like to join us, and be part of our journey - contact our Human Resources Team at [email protected] to learn more about our various roles and positions across NI and ROI.

Let’s Celebrate 🌈☀️

We are thrilled to announce that one of our residents Rosie, has secured new employment, in our (NI) HQ in Armagh. This exciting step not only marks a significant achievement for Rosie but also underscores our commitment to empowering individuals and fostering community inclusion in the busy ‘world of work’. By supporting Rosie in this new role, we continue to develop a culture of growth and inclusivity within our organisation.

Rosie's accomplishment - in sourcing paid employment - is a testament to her hard work and determination. It also highlights the broader importance of ensuring that individuals with disabilities are given equal opportunities in the workforce. Despite the progress made in recent years, discrimination against people with disabilities remains a significant issue in society. Equal pay and equal opportunities are not just goals, but necessities, for creating a fair and just community.

Paid employment is a critical factor in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. It provides not only financial stability but also a sense of purpose and belonging. Many individuals with disabilities still face barriers to meaningful employment - and paid employment - including prejudices and misconceptions about their capabilities.

By celebrating Rosie's success, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of inclusive employment practices. Everyone deserves the chance to contribute meaningfully to the workforce and to be compensated fairly for their professional efforts. As we continue to support Rosie and others like her, we reaffirm our commitment to fighting for equality and breaking down the barriers that hinder full community participation, for so many people.

Let's all join in celebrating Rosie's success and the positive impact it brings to our own workforce and community. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to live life to their fullest!

Well done Rosie!

Small Steps - Big Dreams 🌈

These moments are truly heartwarming and stand as a testament to the dedicated staff team in one of our Supported Living Services in Co. Tyrone. Recently, Tiernan experienced a leisurely outdoor picnic, a significant milestone for him. An outing and activity that the majority of us, in society, take as a given. Despite the weather not being ideal, Tiernan courageously disembarked from the bus to embrace this new experience. This seemingly simple act represents a major step forward for Tiernan, showcasing his willingness to step out of his comfort zone and engage with the world in new ways.

This achievement is particularly significant when considering the broader context of young people transitioning from secure children’s centres into adulthood. Such transitions often come with challenges and uncertainties, especially for those with complex autism. The space and freedom that come with adulthood provide new opportunities, but also require careful and sensitive navigation. Tiernan’s willingness to participate in this outdoor activity mirrors the journey many individuals undertake as they explore their newfound world, supported by dedicated teams.

The staff team in this Co. Tyrone service have been dedicated and super charged in their efforts to encourage Tiernan to explore new opportunities and broaden his horizons. Their unwavering support and innovative approaches are helping Tiernan live life to his fullest potential. Each new experience, is a building block in this young man’s journey towards greater independence and personal growth.

The team’s dedication to providing enriching and diverse experiences is making a profound difference in the lives of the individuals we support. In this case example, fostering an environment where Tiernan feels safe and encouraged to try new things, are not only enhancing his quality of life but also paving the way for continued progress.

Well done Tiernan and Team 🎉

Let’s Celebrate 🎉

In this poignant snapshot, we witness more than just a simple task completed; it encapsulates a significant milestone in the journey towards independence for our young service user. Despite its seemingly modest appearance, this moment symbolises a triumph of immense proportions. It reminds us of the arduous path that individuals with additional needs navigate daily, where even the smallest steps can require monumental effort.

For Ollie, entering a bustling environment fraught with new stimuli—noises, lights, and smells—can be an overwhelming experience. Yet, amidst this sensory whirlwind, he persevered, demonstrating remarkable resilience and determination. As Ollie undertook this task at his own pace, we couldn't help but celebrate the magnitude of his achievement.

It serves as a testament to his strength and courage, as well as the unwavering support provided by our dedicated staff. But beyond this singular accomplishment lies a promise of more to come. We eagerly anticipate Ollie's continued growth and success as he ventures further into the local community. Each step, regardless of its size, represents a victory worth commemorating—a testament to the progress made and the barriers overcome.

Group inductions 🌈🙌

…are vital components of onboarding processes, providing new employees with the necessary insights and resources to navigate their upcoming roles effectively.

Our Group inductions, take place routinely, affording new employees the opportunity to meet and interact with key figures like the CEO and other members of the senior management team. These sessions not only familiarise newcomers with organisational structures but also instil a sense of belonging and purpose within the company; serving as powerful introductory platforms.

By hearing directly from senior executives and other departments, new employees gain firsthand understanding of the organisation’s values, mission, vision, and core principles. This fosters alignment and cultivates a shared sense of purpose among team members, from different teams, across the board.

Moreover, group inductions facilitate networking opportunities, enabling those who are new to forge connections with peers and senior leadership alike.

🌎Human Rights💛

Today, on World Health Day, we stand in solidarity with people of all abilities, reaffirming their right to accessible and inclusive healthcare. This year's theme of ‘Human Rights’ emphasises the intersection of health and Human Rights, including for those with disabilities. At Trinity Support & Care Services, we're committed to providing tailored services that address the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities.

Access to healthcare should be barrier-free, ensuring everyone receives the support and treatment they deserve. Let's continue advocating for inclusive healthcare systems that prioritise the rights and dignity of every person, regardless of their abilities.

Let’s Celebrate 🙌 🎉

As we celebrate April, the month of global Autism recognition, let’s acknowledge the diverse nature of the autistic spectrum, recognising the strengths each individual brings to the human tapestry of life, while addressing the societal barriers that still exist today. It’s our duty to challenge these norms, breaking down any obstacles and known barriers, and fostering inclusivity every day.

Whilst today may mark a day of awareness for Autism, it must also stand as a day in our own commitment to recognising, respecting and embracing every individual for who they are, which irrespectively should transcend dates on a calendar.

Embracing diversity and advocating for inclusion is an ongoing journey - one that requires continuous education and action. Inclusion is not just a choice, but a fundamental right.

Together, we can build a more compassionate and inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to live life to their fullest potential.
