Knockatallon Community Childcare is excited to announce our very first Christmas Fair 2024!
We invite all stallholders selling handmade crafts and gifts perfect for the holiday season.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday 23rd of November from 11am- 3pm.
Location: Sliabh Beagh Hotel - Knockatallon
Fee: €25 per table (table provided)

A raffle and some carol singing will feature on the day also to get everyone in the Christmassy mood.

⚽️ Congratulations to Colm mc Crudden, Brendan mc Kenna, Martin mc Aree, Kieran Treanor, Paul Treanor, Noel Sweeney and Peter Campbell on winning the Martin McCarron Over 40s Cup.
⚽️ Congratulations to Barry Treanor, Philip Flack, Mark Corrigan, Mark Mulligan, Niall Toal, Connor Mallon, Kelvin Cawley, Caolan Treanor on winning the Jason McGovern Cup. Fantastic displays of football in both competitions.
👏 Thanks to Peter Cosgrove and Barry Treanor for refereeing. To Kilylough FC for the use of their equipment. To Julie McPhillips for organising the tournament and anyone else who helped in any way.

🎯 The first Sliabh Beagh Open Darts tournament took place as well with 22 players participating. Garry McQuillan took the top spot and earned his name to be first on the stunning Bog Oak trophy 🏆 crafted by Moyna Bespoke Furniture who also sponsored the winners cheque. Runner Up was Danny McDermot and the other semi finalists were Niall Bogue and Stevlana Duffy. Congratulations to all on a fantastic display of darts. Thank you to Louis Moyna for all of the organising.
👏 A huge thank you to the Sliabh Beagh Hotel on sponsoring finger food and for the use of their pitches and to the staff for their warm welcome. Thank you to everyone who bought a 🎟️ raffle ticket and to Hugh Pat McGinnity for donating a darts board, to Sliabh Beagh Hotel for a voucher, to Claire O Hanlon Geary for a hamper and bottle of wine, to Louise Thom for a hamper and Patricia Cosgrove for a bottle of wine.

Wednesday 19th June 2024 was graduation day at Knockatallon Community Childcare! The only way to describe the day was beautiful ❤️!! Beautiful weather, beautiful singing 🎵 from the children, beautiful decorations and a beautiful speech from our manager Clare! And maybe we could say delicious cake 🎂 (Thanks to Christine Casey for making it)
12 children adorned with blue hats and gowns that have been with us for the last number of years are flying our nest and heading off to big school in September! In an emotional speech Clare talks about it being a milestone in her career and this was the first group that she has seen through from the start! 🥰
Each and everyone of these children are a credit to you as parents and have flourished under the guidance of our wonderful staff! We thank from the bottom of our hearts Clare, Ciara, Leah, Melissa, Gillian, Chloe, Victoria, Meave, Sinead, Bronwen, Mary Ann, Hannah, Eilish and Ann Marie for all their hard work throughout the years with them! Thank you for organising this day that will stay in our memory forever!
Thank you to Odify Design (Laura Traynor) for designing the gorgeous certificates with her own son proudly receiving his!
Plenty of very happy faces showing off all the songs they had learned and showing their parents around the classroom. 🌈
This is one of the first big milestones in their education journey and we hope that they had an amazing start to it in Knockatallon Community Childcare. Have a lovely summer everyone and enjoy the ☀️

Congratulations to our winners Dernastacken who were crowned the champions of our table Quiz on Friday night.
As always we thank you for your generosity, every penny of this money we fundraise is going towards our new build project! And it really helps when we have a such a generous crowd that are also having such a good time!
Thank you to Noel McPhillips for being the quiz master and creating the quiz, to the committee members for creating posters for the event, the score board, for marking, for collecting the quiz sheets and selling raffle tickets! To the Sliabh Beagh Hotel for their facilities and donating a voucher for our raffle and to McMahons Scotstown for donating raffle prizes.
