Good morning! Due to high demand we made extra sourdough baguettes and white loaves today. Slowly fermented, shaped by hand, baked fresh, and super delicious. ☺️ Happy sourdough September everyone!

Good morning Clonbur and beyond! Is anyone else feeling the cold today? 🍂
It’s all about autumnal bakes and comfort food these days at the bakery - we have bramley apple tart slices, red velvet cupcakes, Belgian chocolate brownies, pecan and rosemary shortbread, carrot cake, and also this stunning cake made by Órla with Irish apples, cinnamon, walnut and cream and honey icing. Sourdough loaves and baguettes are still warm from the oven, lots of cinnamon buns, scones and pastries. Come and say hi we are here until 4pm this Thursday. 🧡

We are making the most of the summer fruit at the bakery these days, cooking delicious jams with apricots, plums, and raspberries. Home made jams add such a lovely touch to desserts. Today we made an apricot jam roulade to keep that summer feeling going a little longer before the storm season arrives! ☀️

Good morning! What’s with all this rain? 😆 It’s sunshine here anyway! The bread is baked, the cakes are iced, the coffee machine is on. We also have some beautiful bits in the shop to cheer you up including those gorgeous organic pears from France. They are really delicious and might be the best ones we’ve ever tried. 🍐
Kids are back to school now and some soon so if you are thinking about lunch boxes please consider buying organic fruit. It’s a little bit more expensive than regular fruit but it’s better for your health because it contains no man-made fertilisers or pesticides. Organic produce is also grown with nature in mind, and using environmentally, socially and economically sustainable production systems. Buying organic also supports small local businesses like who grow amazing produce in Hollymount just north from Clonbur. You can also order a veg box from them delivered to our bakery weekly. 🧡

✨ We are absolutely over the moon to share the great news that our teabrack has made it to the finals at the !! Wooohooo!! The awards are in October so stay tuned. ☺️ This gorgeous loaf has been a firm favourite of everyone from day one and has travelled the world to visit Siberia and Scotland where our friends and families enjoyed it with tea and butter and even with red caviar (Anya’s parents favourite way to eat a teabrack 😆). Yes, it’s really delicious! Made with raisins soaked in for a moist texture, a blend of spices, and it is yeast free. This is a gorgeous little loaf and it deserves every praise. We are absolutely over the moon and thank you all of you for loving our teabrack as much as we love it.

August is here, and the first signs of autumn appear in our gardens and on our tables. It’s harvest time, with beautiful vegetables and fruits filling local shops. Of course, it’s apple season, and we’re excited to make apple tarts for the bank holiday weekend. We’ll have apple tart by the slice and whole tarts available, made with Irish Bramley apples, and all butter pastry with Irish butter and lovely unbleached flour. 🍏

Good morning Clonbur. Today we have a coffee cake with and mascarpone buttercream, toasted almonds, and a bit of colour from borage flowers. It’s a dull day outside, but we are open and we’ve lots of lovely things for you. 🫶

Good morning Clonbur! We’ve baked lots of lovely things today including this organic pear and almond cake. It’s so delicate, light, and delicious and goes very well with a cup of tea. 🍐

Also on the counter today: coffee and mascarpone cake, raspberry Swiss roll, pecan and caramel shortbread with rosemary, Belgian chocolate brownies, masala chai carrot cake, cherry Bakewell, lemon and polenta cake, and of course lots of lovely pastries, sourdough baguettes and loaves, and lots of sandwiches including Parma and garlic bread. 😋 Here until 4pm today. ❤️

We have a special cake today - organic plum and black pepper. It’s an unusual combination but it works beautifully - slightly tart plum combined with warming and comforting flavour of black pepper in a delicious and light almond sponge. A real treat with a cup of coffee 😌. We are here until 4pm.

Raspberry jam, whipped cream, and light sponge - simple and light. We love a raspberry Swiss roll. ☀️ Hope everyone is doing ok today and enjoying this warm July weather. Organic lemon Victoria sponge base with flour, blueberry jam, mascarpone icing, lemon rind and lemon balm. Colourful and delicious with a cup of coffee on this sunny day!

Sourdough loaves baked fresh Wednesday to Saturday here in Clonbur. Only three ingredients in them: flour, water, and salt. Dough fermented overnight, loaves shaped and baked in the morning. We love this bread - it slices well, keeps for a long time, and is really lovely toasted.

Mini meringues with local gooseberry jam, decorated with borage flowers and lemon balm for extra pretty. 🥰 Hope everyone is having a good day! We are here until 3pm today.
