Tá lúcháir mhór orainn go bhfuil tús curtha leis na hoibreacha athchóirithe ar Teach Pobail Mhuire na nGrás. Chomh maith le na sean fuinneoga a bhaint amach le cinn úra a chur ina n-áit, déanfar obair riachtanach, uasghrádaithe ar an urláir adhmaid taobh istigh den Teach Pobail, agus ar an chosán coincréite thart taobh amuigh.

Ins an aimsir chorrach eacnamaíoch seo ina maireann muid, tá muid fíor-bhuíoch ar fad dár mBronntóirí agus dár bpáirtithe leasmhara uilig atá, trína bhflaithiúlacht, ag cuidiú linne, cosaint agus caomhnú a dhéanamh ar oidhreachta thoghtá Inis Bó Finne do na glúnta atá le teacht. Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann muid.

We are delighted that the Church renovation works have begun. As well as removal and replacement of the windows, extensive upgrade works will also be carried out to the inside wooden floor of the Church, and essential maintenance works to the concrete walkway around the Church.

In these challenging economic times, we are very thankful to all our very kind benefactors who, through your generous donations are helping us in “Preserving the Past for the Future.”

Teach Pobail Mhuire na nGrás - Church Restoration Fund.

Teach Pobail Mhuire na nGrás is a picturesque little Church, an Oasis of Peace at the heart of Inis Bó Finne, central to the lives of the islanders and our many friends since it’s completion in 1965.

Coiste Forbartha Inis Bó Finne have embarked on a Church Restoration Fund endeavor. We are appealing to islanders who are living at home, within Ireland and overseas, and to the many friends of Inis Bó Finne, from near and far who might be willing to contribute to our efforts.

We are seeking donations of €600 from any families or individuals who would like to contribute to our Church Restoration Fund.

A donation of €600 will help us to restore and protect the 11 tall Church windows along with the beautiful antique Stained Glass Window - ‘Jesus depicted at the Last Supper.’

Your donation will contribute to the careful restoration of this beautiful place of worship. All surplus funds raised from this fundraising effort will be used to carry out associated restoration, both externally and internally and refurbishment works of this landmark building, Teach Pobail Mhuire na nGrás.

By donating to our Restoration Fund, in return for a donation of €600 we will inscribe a plaque with the names of our benefactors, your name or family name on a plaque to be erected at a Central Focal Point in the Church in recognition of your support.

We appreciate that you may have commitments to other causes, however, if you would like to contribute to our fund we would deeply appreciate it.

Any family or individual who would like to contribute to our campaign, please contact us via private message or contact any Committee member by Tuesday 23rd April.

Is Séipéal beag gleoite é Teach Pobail Mhuire na nGrás, tearmann síochána i gcroílár Inis Bó Finne, atá lárnach i saol mhuintir an oileáin agus ár gcairde uilig ó críochnaíodh é sa bhliain 1965.

Tá Coiste Forbartha Inis Bó Finne i mbun feachtais Chiste Athchóirithe na hEaglaise. Tá muid ag impí ar mhuintir an oileáin, atá ina gcónaí sa bhaile, in Éirinn agus thar lear, chomh maith le cairde Inis Bó Finne, ó chian is ó chóngar tacú linn inár n-iarrachtaí.

Tá muid ag lorg síntiúis de €600 ó theaghlaigh nó ó dhaoine aonair ar mhaith leo tacú lenar gCiste Athchóirithe.

Cuideoidh síntiús de €600 linn fuinneogaí arda an Teach pobail a athchóiriú agus a chosaint, chomh maith leis an fhuinneog dhaite galánta - ‘Íosa ag an Suipéar Dheirneach.’ Cuideoidh do thabhartas linn athchóiriú cúramach a dhéanamh ar an láthair álainn adhartha seo. Bainfear úsáid as aon fuílleach airgead a bhaileofar ón iarracht tiomsaithe airgid seo, le oibreacha athchóirithe seachtrach agus inmheánach a dhéanamh ar an fhoirgneamh suntasach seo, Teach Pobail Mhuire na nGrás.

Trí dheontas de €600 a thabhairt dár gCiste Athchóirithe, dhéanfaidh muid d’ainm a chur le plaic. Ar an phlaic seo beidh ainmneacha ár ndearthóirí uilig, d’ainm féin nó ainm teaghlaigh ar phlaic a bheas crochta ag lárphointe i dTeach an Pobail mar aitheantas ar do thacaíocht.

Tuigeann muid gur dóiche go bhfuil gealltanais agat do go leor cúiseanna áirithe, mar sin féin, dá mba mhaith leat cur lenár gciste bheadh muid fíorbhuíoch ar fad.

Teaghlach ar bith, nó duine aonarach ar bith ar mhaith leo cur lenár bhfeachtas, déan teagmháil linn trí theachtaireacht phríobháideach a sheoladh chugainn nó déan teagmháil díreach le ball ar bith den Choiste Forbartha roimh an Mháirt 23 Aibreán.

Tá muid fíor bhuíoch ar fad agus faoi chomaoin ag na daoine, agus na teaghlaigh a rinne teagmháil linn go dtí seo agus a thug tacaíocht agus síntiús dúinn. Is mór againn bhur gcuidiú.

At tonight’s coiste meeting, upon discussing the church windows, we thought it only fair that every family on the island would get an opportunity to sponsor a window in their family name. Any family that would like to sponsor a window, let us know by next Friday the 23rd.

A notice to islanders and visitors, we now have a bin situated at the top of the pier on the island, to accommodate the disposal of your household waste. This is a free service for all to use.
We are greatful to Harry of Boffin Ferry and councilor Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig for putting this in place.
We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our island and this resource ensures that we can maintain this.

We’ve had a good uptake on the public consultation surveys, the survey closes this weekend so we're asking anybody who hasn’t already completed one to please take the time and complete one.

It’s really important that we have as many surveys completed as possible to show that there is interest in the island and our plans going forward.
