Colin Devaney
Musician, Songwriter and Vocal Coach living in Paris, France. Irish, but I love a wander.
Once more, Sunday is upon us... I hope to see most of you there. Most.
This is an important announcement for all Parisiens
bonjour, tout le monde!
Aujourd’hui, je suis tres occupé - 2 concerts!
17.30 - 19.30 - Moncoeur Belleville avec FIZ Machine
21.30 - 00.30 - Galway Irish Pub Paris Solo
si tu veux, venir! au bientôt , j'espere!
Randomer in pub: Oh, you're Irish - I always meet Irish people, does anyone actually live in Ireland?
Me:
As most of you know, as well as being a songwriter and performer, I am also a vocal coach. I absolutely love this part of my life, and it's something I really committed myself to during the pandemic, and I got busy quickly, and ended up absolutely loving the work again.
Over the last few years, I have been coaching people from beginner levels to advanced, on the myriad of factors that make you an amazing singer, as well as the psychology behind what is holding you back from your musical goals, and trying to smash past those barriers.
I am based in Paris, France now. If you're here, I can teach you in person. If not, I can teach you online, and I have had fantastic successes in both over the last few years.
Here is some of the feedback that I have had from previous students - I am hoping that this may make you want to book a session with me, to see if I can get you to the next level with your voice.
If I can help you, please do let me know :)
Je vous annonce ma première résidence musicale à Paris, au "Le Galway" à St Michel Notre Dame. Tous les dimanches, venez écouter vos chansons préférées par un vrai Galwégien au "Le Galway á 21.30h
Announcement! My first residency in Paris starts this Sunday at Galway Irish Pub Paris. Come every Sunday to hear your favourite music at "Le Galway" by an actual Galwegian. See you there at 9.30pm!
Ladies and Gentlemen!
I have started once more to get requests for my voice coaching, due to COVID taking its sweaty, grubby mitts off of our music venues.
Helping singers is my speciality, but I also help public speakers iron out their weaknesses and get their voices into tip top shape. I start from every level, but I feel I am particularly helpful for:
1) Professional singers who need a tune up and a truthful analysis of their weaknesses, as well as a plan to fix them, that they may not get from their peers due to awkwardness of lack of knowledge.
2) Beginners who are able to pitch match effectively looking to take things to the next level with lots of different technique to make them sound like the best version of their voice.
3) Singers who are worried about damaging their voices due to bad technique and/or large workloads.
4) Singers that want to transition to different styles and don't feel like they have the know how.
5) Public Speakers that feel like their delivery is weak and that they trip over their words.
If this is you, congratulations! I am based in Paris, so my time zone is GMT+1 - but if you want to hire me, my rates are just down below.
1) Online: €25/hr (€100 for 4 sessions, booked in advance)
2) In Person: €40/hr (€160 for 4 sessions, booked in advance)
3) 1 hour only: €50/hr, no prebooking multiple sessions required.
If I can help you out, please do contact me on:

or any of my social media
If you're feeling unsure, please talk to me about it. I have a lot of previous students, from beginners to seasoned professionals, that recommend me highly.
Got asked to post this - it's just a little live set I did before I left Ireland in Carroll's - enjoy

Busking at the Eiffel Tower station today, lovely day for it.
My work this evening! Such a nice day for it
So, I've recently relocated to Paris, for an unspecified amount of time, because I got a license busking in the Metro Stations here. It's been a very interesting time, full of culture shocks, but on the whole, the culture is what I tried to go in Galway for a long time anyway - try to find cafe's that are open late and drink pots of tea people watching.
Anyway, here is a video of my first day at work, singing one of my favourite arias, Una Furtiva Lagrima from L'Elisir D'Amore. I was about 3 hours into my set at this stage, and did another hour before packing it in for the day. I was very lucky that day to get a wonderfully welcoming audience at the mezzanine of St Michel - Notre Dame, an audience I haven't quite found since - the trends are quite hard to read, or I just have no idea... either way, I enjoyed this and hope you do, too.
Open Mic Jam Session at The Hideaway every Sunday
I've had a lot of fun being at the helm of this for 2 1/2 years, last night tonight. Come down if you like your music.
This is it, the end of my reign. Time to be known as leader formally known as duke as your new host Adam Baine will be starting hosting duties from next week. So, this is your last chance to make me do things with guitars and stuff before I go away and use my Sunday's to get better at recording and try to like quinoa. One will go very well, the other is a surprisingly good source of protein.
Sign up is at 7, and the show starts at 8pm. Come down to say goodbye.
This Tuesday, Primo Bar in Westminster. If you wanna hear what I got, come on down and make me look impressive to the press. :)
This Tuesday - Best New Talent Showcase! Wonderful 6 Acts! So excited!

I'm playing this on Saturday night in Camden! I'm playing my own stuff and also playing with Sam Hart and, if I'm lucky, a couple tunes with Adam Cleaver too. And a couple Bowie covers for you all to groove to. I might play with you too, whoever the hell you are. Londoners, share on your page, lets pack this free gig out and have some fun :)
