Mel Toy and I have been chatting for a long time about producing some videos of the zany, singer related, conversations we have.
Im really excited to start sharing these chats. With both of us being performers as well voice coaches, we see what is actually helpful and important to professional performers living in the real world of the music industry, from the glamorous to the gritty. On Friday Eimear took to the stage in the 3Arena in support of Jack Lukeman
She was perfect. Her charm, wit and comfort with her surroundings all shone as she brought the entire arena on a trip through her music. Her choir, the Speak Up Speak Out Gospel Choir also performed. - their pride in their own work as well as their pride in her speaks volumes.
It was a pleasure to play a small part in her preparations for the show and to witness her serenity at first hand. As a vocal coach working with her voice, she is a perfect blend of confidence and pragmatism. As an artist, she is wonderful to witness as she allows ideas to flourish. If you have not heard her music I encourage you to check it.
Working at the 3Arena for the first time was an incredible experience. But alongside the professionalism and kindness of all the crew, and the scale and size of everything, was the realisation that all shows are ultimately the same - an artist performs and a team of people help them do it.
I am hugely grateful to Eimear for inviting me to be a part of her team.

I would like to thank Stephen King and Lydia Flock from Voice Care Centre for a terrific course in laryngeal massage technique in Malaga. This was a part of the fantastic voice teacher course I have been doing with Modern Vocal Training since early last year. The effectiveness of this technique is hugely impressive and I cannot wait to begin incorporating some of it into my practice as a vocal coach, and it fits perfectly with my ethos of being as useful as possible to my clients. On our last day there was an event known as La Calima which brought most of Malaga, and my flight home, to a standstill. There are no filters on the image and video above - that is exactly how it was, just incredible….

Anyone that knows me at all knows that I have my own Holy Trinity when it comes to music. and The Police are one of those trio (they count as 1 to me!)

𝗠𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲
While it is ‘my’ website I have been very keen to make sure that my current and prospective clients are in no doubt that it is domain to see how I strive to serve them.
I always remind my clients that nice singers combine words with melody while good singers tell stories and share feelings. My hope with my new website is that a visitor will be assured that my focus is on helping them do just what a good singer does, irrespective of their starting point.
Be it technical, artistic/stylistic, health, performance or something else, my focus is on the singer and their wants, needs and results.

My thanks to for inviting me to present a webinar on the topic of being a business owner as a vocal coach.
As it was my first time speaking on the topic I realised just how much self employed people like us voice teachers, musicians, and others, do.
We are our own accounts, HR, PR and technical departments among other titles, and, especially if we have direct dealings with clients; we must always be in a good mood.
Kudo’s are due to us all for making something of ourselves - I guess we have to arrange our own party to celebrate….
