We're back!!! 🥳

After a crazy month juggling summer holidays (desperately seeking sunshine on Achill island earlier this week 🌧️) and getting the new studio fitted out, I'm finally back and excited to get working on some new designs!

It's still a work in progress but I'm happy as a pig in sh*te! 🐖 And the apprentice is delighted to have her own swivel chair, you can imagine the hijinx! 😅

Lots of fun things are happening at Culu HQ this week!!

I'm saying goodbye to my old studio and VERY excited about the new space. Myself and herself are doing our best to stay out of the way, when we just want to sit and watch every step of the process! 😎

I won't be making anything new for a wee while, we'll be busy painting and fitting out, but anything left on the website is ready to go and will be posted within a couple of days.

I'm feeling very blessed to have the support of my family, they've been an immense help and 💪 (spot himself and my father in law, proud of their handywork). And of course you guys, and all of my wonderful retailers, I wouldn't ever be able to fulfill this incredible dream without ye.

We'll be all back to normal in a couple of weeks, new normal, I can't really believe it!

What a feckin whirlwind of a year this has been, I can't even begin to describe the chaos behind the scenes! 🤪 Thanks so much for all of your support and of course orders, every penny is helping me continue to follow my dream, to make fun, bright and bold accessories, and to grow my business from strength to strength.

My new studio is in the works too, after years of dreaming (and saving!). I've started digging my garden in prep for the new space. I'll keep you updated, to say I'm bursting with excitement is an understatement. 😁

New things, yay!!!

I've never worked harder in my life lads. I've pretty much moved into my studio this week, it's absolute mayhem.
I have some delicious new designs on the way, they'll be making their debut in the in.DunLaoghaire this Sunday.
I'd love to see a few friendly faces there, it's my first market this year, and I haven't talked to a soul this week (besides myself, there's been lots of that 😅) so I'm.a bit rusty!
Do pop in if you're in the area. If the weather's anything like it's been today, DunLaoghaire will be a beautiful place to spend a leisurely Sunday ☀️

I am absolutely gobsmacked and ecstatic that my earring design - Cha Emerald - has been selected by Showcase Ireland for The Edit at next weekends trade show in the RDS. If you're visiting you might spot them in The Edit display, along with some other fabulous Irish designers and makers. 😍💚

And I've also been shortlisted for a Showcase award 🤞🤞🤞, I shall surely keep you posted 😀

These last few months have been an absolute whirlwind, and I really have you guys to thank for that. This business has been a dream I've been cooking for 25 years, there have been many tough times over the last few years where I felt like giving up, but you bunch of legends have kept me going with your never ending support. I can't believe that things are beginning to fall into place, of the many many pinch me moments recently, this one is up there 🙌

I am so excited to be at this year, and admittedly a wee bit nervous! 😁
I'm looking forward to meeting potential stockists, and hopefully some of my current ones too!

It's been a while since I've posted anything, apologies for the radio silence. The summer months are pretty chaotic, as I'm sure many of you know 🤯 Juggling work and parenting has been keeping me busy and unfortunately social media is the first ball to fall. My customers are my first priority always, and I hope you can see that in the quality of my work and in any direct dealings you may have with me and my little business.

I've received loads of wonderful reviews, both on my website and on Google, and I want to thank all of you that have taken the time to do that, it really means the world to me and is hugely helpful for anyone that doesn't know me but is interested in my work. Yous are all absolute legends xx

I'm back in the studio this morning, it's feckin awesome! I've missed my little happy place.
Returning to work after holidays is very different for me now, thanks so much for supporting my work and keeping my business going, I will be forever grateful to be able to do what I love and I absolutely wouldn't be doing it without ye 🥰

We've clearly lost our marbles so we're taking a break!

The apprentice is on summer hols, and we have a wee family celebration next week, so we're taking two weeks away from the studio to chill and hopefully find those marbles. 🤞

All orders placed up to now will be made and sent before we go of course, but the online store will be on pause then for two weeks.

I've learned so much from my brother over the last few days, he is a fountain of knowledge, and endlessly patient!
(I took this photo, I'm so feckin proud of how far I've come 😁)

My bestsellers are updated now (link in bio of you fancy a gander), and I'll be putting what I've learned into practise over the next couple of weeks to finalise the new collection. Hopefully you guys will like what you see!

♻️ Do you know that all of the packaging at Culu Design headquarters (my teeny tiny studio) is fully recycled/recyclable? Even the little cello bags that protect each pair are bio based and compostable!

♻️ All of my beautiful gift boxes are made from craft cardboard. Rather than adding this to every order, they are an optional extra when shopping on my website. So if you're earth conscious and don't want a box you're just gonna chuck, you'll also be saving yourself €2!

♻️ I operate a zero waste policy in my studio. All clay remnants or off cuts are reused to form the base of future designs. And any cured pieces that do not pass QC are also saved and reused to prototype.

All of my earrings are made from an exceptionally light polymer clay, even the biggest pairs are light and comfortable to wear. You can wear them all day and forget about them. ☁️

The earring posts are made from hypoallergenic, surgical grade, stainless steel. I have sensitive ears myself and I'm never without a pair of my earrings! 😁

So no need to worry, they will make you feel comfortable, feminine and powerful all at once. 💪❤️

Finally getting back into the swing of things today, planning and organising. Trying to whittle down my 50 million (at least) notebooks into just one. Pointless exercise I'm sure as I'll be back to 50 million in about 2 weeks... 😱

Hope you guys all had a lovely break and were able to enjoy some downtime. I foolishly made a couple of new years resolutions this year, which I don't normally do, and I'm not going to tell you what they are for obvious reasons (ie. impending failure). Why do we do this to ourselves? Please remind me next year...
