Congratulations to our TY students who have been chosen to represent Ireland in Euroscola Strasbourg where they become an MEP for a day. The students produced a video promoting democracy in action and encouraging voter turnout. Well done to all involved.

Late Opening Tomorrow

✴️ A fantastic and positive day for the people of Killeshandra and surrounding area. I was delighted to attend the official opening by Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly for Wicklow of the Killeshandra Health Care Centre.

My father, the late Councillor Seán Smith would have been so delighted to see this Centre open today as he advocated for many years along with Brendan Smith TD and the local community for these modern facilities.

👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️It’s so important that people have access to healthcare services in their local area exactly what sláintecare is all about. These services can only be delivered in conjunction with our dedicated and hardworking healthcare workers.

I want to commend everyone who was involved in bringing this dream to a reality.

Airplane passengers treated to Irish music session after flight gets delayed Passengers of a delayed plane in Frankfurt, Germany, were treated to a traditional Irish folk music session by musicians traveling back to Ireland.

✴️ 🏐 Congratulations to Corlough GAA Club, Corlough, Co Cavan who have been awarded e10,000 in Phase 2 of the Healthy Ireland GAA Walking Tracks funding!

➡️ The Government and the President of the GAA have today announced additional funding of €800,000 from Healthy Ireland for the GAA Walking Tracks initiative.

This funding will enable clubs to improve the accessibility of existing community walking track facilities on GAA grounds.
