Please be informed that Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, is a Bank Holiday in several EU countries. However, it is not observed in Ireland.

Consequently, the official Euro Payment Settlement Mechanisms will be closed on this day. As a result, payments made after 12 noon on Tuesday, April 30th, may not be processed until Thursday, May 2nd, affecting their arrival in the destination account.

Member Notice!

All Irish banks and credit unions may experience delays in payment processing.

SEPA payments (Euro payments across Ireland & the EU) made on Friday 15th may not be credited to the beneficiary account until Monday March 18th and may not appear in customer accounts over the weekend as is the case normally.

The Irish Banking Community advise all customers to make payments on Thursday 14th March or early Friday morning 15th March to ensure that the beneficiary account is credited on Friday.
