We are surrounded by sheer beauty at every turn here on the Di**le Peninsula. These destinations are a short distance from our sea cottages accommodation leading to many jawdropping vistas😲
⭐Di**le Feile Bealtaine 2023 (May "bright fire" Fest) ⭐
The first of May marks the beginning of the ancient festival of Bealtaine, Féile na Bealtaine, and is the halfway point between the spring equinox and summer solstice.
Ben Dearnley local sculptor and Di**le Mens Shed member made this incredible structure using all sizes of plastic bottles .. highlighting the need to keep plastic out of our oceans ...what a feat!
The Sanctuary Studio
The Sanctuary Sea Cottages are just off the Slea Head Drive on the stunning Di**le Peninsula. There are 3 newly renovated deluxe, modern cottages and studio accommodation in beautiful Ballymore which is only 4kms (5min drive) from the buzzing town of Di**le. With its unique position this is the idyllicget away for romance, relaxation and beauty! Ideal for couples, small bridal parties, families or for that smaller family reunion .
Our Sea Cottages include:
The Sanctuary Studio for 2-3 people and contains new kitchen with all mod cons, bathroom with hair dryer, plush soft bedding, linen, table and chairs,new 2 & 3 seater lounges and a comfy spare bed set up as required. Large TV and Wifi access.
Ocean Blue Retreat 4-6 people
The self catering cottage has the LOT. It contains a spacious King bedroom downstairs, a twin single bedroom upstairs, a comfy double bed sofa lounge in the upper TV lounge area. The place has been furnished to a high quality EVERYTHING with attention to detail in every room. From the outdoor patio and from most aspects of the cottage, the ocean / mountain views are spectacular.
Pipers Cottage 4-6 people Self catering cottage is a design union between olde worlde and modern luxury. This 1640’s cottage has been lovingly renovated to a high standard. The downstairs double room and upstairs King room have beautiful plush furnishings and bedding plus the upstairs TV lounge contains a comfy large double daybed. Again, it is high quality standard and has the best of EVERYTHING while still honouring the history of the past. And there is massive history here around James Goodman (1826-1896) - Uillean Piper of Ballymore (and . . . . . )
