Right guys if we could grab your attention for a few moments we would greatly appreciate it. 🚨🙏
Obviously as a small, independent business with aspirations to grow we want to do as much as we can to get our name and our work out there.
In recent weeks this has led us to pay for weekly advertising through Facebook in hope to extend our reach, in turn, growing our small business.
Unfortunately we felt for the money being spent we were not receiving even close to what was promised or expected.
The only course of action for anyone at that stage is to stop paying for the service and revert back to the way things were which were working fine. (Again, we're always trying to better ourselves and the business).
Unfortunately taking that decision has now put us in a predicament with Facebooks algorithm.
It will be no surprise to anyone that Facebook/Meta love to make money off the little man anyway they can but what they don't like is loosing it.
After going through the analytics it's clear to us that since we've stopped paying for advertising the algorithm has limited our reach to almost damaging levels in order to reel us back in.
The truth is we just can't keep up with it and we've also come to the realisation of the hold and power these massive social media giants have on small local business when you consider the fact we must use these platforms to promote ourselves.
I suppose what we are doing is asking for our loyal customers help.
We're not in the habit of begging for likes and shares.
We try to put out content daily and try to be as interactive as we can.
We try to give you a glimps of the types of products that should be used for best results as well as the proper procedures in the application and use of said products.
We're not just here to take your money and be on our way.
We are trying to build a trusted household name when it comes to the mobile valeting scene in Limerick.
I suppose to cut the the chase we are asking if you could help us to go up against the algorithm and all it would take from you is a like or share or even a comment under a post.
Those couple of seconds of your time would mean so much to us at this moment and would be massively appreciated.
Those of you who have given us the opportunity to work on your vehicles in the past will no that we strive to go above and beyond so that you the customer is left happy at the end of the day.
If we could ask you to have our backs on this occasion then we couldn't thank you enough.
So as I said folks a simple like, share or interaction will go a massive way for us and would be greatly appreciated.
Apologies for the long spiel and thanks for taking the time to read.
Enjoy your day folks.
Finbarr,
Owner of OCD.
