Lauren was up first and this time she was boxing the European silver medalist. Lauren tried her best to box her own fight but her opponent had other ideas and the contest was stopped inside the 1st round. Lauren had 2 fantastic wins to get to the final and for that we are so proud of her. Head up Lauren and onto the next 1 🥊

Next up was Siofra who was boxing a girl from our good friends Sliabh luachra boxing club Castleisland.. 2 girls went at it hammer and thongs with siofra landing the cleaner and more affective punches especially the big back hand. Siofras hand was raised on a 3-0 decision to become 2 x wexford boxcup champion. 🏆🥊💙💛 brilliant performance siofra

Well done to all involved in the fantastic boxing on display 🥊🥊🥊

Results from day 2 of the wexford boxcup.

1st up was Alex boxing a very experienced kid from England. Alex started off great but his opponent just had too much experience and the contest was stopped. We are very proud of Alex as we dis give him the choice to pull out or not but he said no I want to box.. This was only Alex's 2nd contest which to us showed plenty of bottle.. plenty of big things to come from Alex.. well done.

Next up was Lauren putting on another outstanding performance and controlling the fight to book herself a place in the final tomorrow along side Siofra..

What a fantastic night for some of our junior and senior boxers as we took a trip to the elite irish boxing finals in the national stadium. They got vests signed and photos with former champions, former olympians, former pro boxers and current pro boxers as well as our current and future olympic hopefuls.. this is every young boxers dream and they got a little taste.. great night of boxing and great experience for our kids. Thanks to all those who took time for us 🙏🥊🇮🇪💙💛

1st up was Kyle who started very strong and was throwing some lovely shots but unfortunately wasn't his day. Kyle is improving with every round. Great experience for Kyle. Well done Kyle.

Next up was Lauren who controlled the fight from the beginning boxing a very good girl from The Ballagh Boxing Club . Lauren now moves into the semi finals tomorrow..
